Penzance Horse Show thanks for a great day!

Today the Peep Out crew descended on Penzance Horse Show We had intended to give our young/green horses a gentle taste of a show environment with the support of a couple of our more experienced horses and without any pressure to do anything. It didn’t take long before they were all relaxed and standing nicely whilst watching a couple of classes. Since they had taken so well to the new environment we decided to try a clear round over some small jumps. What stars they all were! All of us made it round the course, and Chris managed to do whilst leading Rosa off of Gino 🌟 admittedly, between us we had a few poles down but it was such good fun 🤣 and we all left with a rosette 🏵 Thank you so much to the lovely crew running and organising the show, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!

When you’re a sassy independent young mule an’ you don’t need no one leading you!

Yesterday we saddled up for a beach ride with a difference... We had riders Jane and Aila on board who wanted to ride Western style across the beach. As you may know by now our horses are trained in a number of disciplines and Western riding is one of them! We had such a lovely ride with these two and enjoyed stopping at one of our favourite cafes The Hoxton Special for some refreshments. Thanks ladies, hopefully we'll see you again. 😊

We had had a great time trail riding with returning client Hollie. As we only take small groups out riding at any one time it gives us the freedom to really tailor the ride to the rider, yesterday was such a lovely day to do just that! Hollie is an experienced rider and she wanted to be able to have whole day out on a horse with a few fast runs along the tracks. We rode over to Trencrom stopped off to take in the views before heading over to the Engine Inn for some lunch, the horses got to have a refuel as well. 😊

We had a lovely evening beach ride with returning clients Laura & Karl, the sun was shining and we were feeling all summery (unlike today) Karl was riding the lovely Noel, Laura rode the beautiful Alaska and had a little switch round halfway through hopped on ‘Zeb the Mule’ cantered him across the beach before swapping back to Alaska 😂and we got to finish off the ride with a stop off at the pub for a drink with a view.

It’s no secret that hydrotherapy for equine’s, canine’s and any other animal has great results. We are lucky enough to get to experience the benefits of swimming our horses first hand, but it’s always interesting to see how other disciplines use similar exercises.

Throw back to half term, having lunch with the equines in the sunshine. Good company all round!
