We've got availability for the 23rd&24th July and the 29th 30th,31st July and 1st August for a spell £80.00 p/n and we feed you in the morning, full meaty or veggie in candlelit breakfast room ,If booked direct!!! Unlike this poor chap he's off his food at the moment, he needs fresh victims!!!

We’ve been on a road trip!! Here’s a few photos,what a blast we had catching up with a few friends on the way!!!

What a fangtastic find, this is probably one of the best B&Bs I’ve stayed in. Kev can’t do enough for you and is a great host, didn’t get to meet Tish tho. The rooms are brilliant, clean, the bed was so comfy, and breakfast is the best I’ve had anywhere. If your looking for something a bit different then this is the place to be.

Weird, unusual, unique. If those three things ring positive for you, then you will love this place. Kev, the host, was exceptionally welcoming, going above and beyond expectations. This included forwarding recommended journey planning information from Nottingham (tip, train to Scarborough and get the X93 bus to Whitby from outside the station) and also giving us a lift with our luggage in his car down into town at the end of our stay (we needed to settle up the balance and they have no facility to pay by card, so needed cash). The cooked breakfasts here are a thing of legend (you eat in the basement by candlelight to a soundtrack of old-school punk/goth/rock), and the bed (Dracula room) is literally the most comfortable piece of furniture in all creation. You'll sleep like the dead. The Dracula room has a VHS player, so we took advantage of the decent library of old -school horror favourites. Cannot recommend enough; we will be back!

Totally Recommend this place. I've Just got back from staying here with my fiancé for two nights and didn't know what to expect as my partner booked it for us. I loved it and I would definitely go back. The place was amazing, we stayed in the solar room which was gorgeous, gold and black decorated gothic theme throughout with the most comfortable four poster bed with a bat and witch watching over you. Kev was very inviting really nice & down to earth and really helpful even when it came to me parking my car too. Bathroom to ourselves too and breakfast was served in the basement by candlelight and punk music on in the background, with lots of items around the room that caught my eye. Need to plan another stay for the future as curious now as to what the other rooms are like as each room is different and I'm intrigued.

Thanks for a brilliant 2 night stay, loved the green man room it was perfect, your excellent taste in music with candlelit breakfast, even having dairy free spread for my toast catering for dietary needs , could not wish for more, we will be back to stay. Brilliant location, accommodation and hosts �

Stayed a week here, just come home today, missing it already. Kev is a character of the best kind. Very welcoming and a genuinely all round nice guy. Candlelit breakfast with good music to go with it. Best breakfast anywhere, cooked to order perfectly. Your stay here will leave you feeling content. Thanks Kev.

So we stayed at the bats and broomsticks B&B. Have to say my initial thought was Garry Fryer you bloody sod.. but I have to say what a place. It was clean unique and so comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and the host Kev was wonderful. We were left chocolates and wine in our room to celebrate our anniversary. Don't be put of this place because of what you think it looks like...... it was brilliant .

My husband booked 3 night as a surprise just got back home and can't wait to go back to bats and broomsticks. Great food and great hosts thank you for a perfect 3 nights

Just got back from our first Goth Weekend in Whitby, and can safely say Bats and Broomsticks is the best place we've ever stayed in! The decor is amazing, and we loved the Dracula room. Great breakfast, and the hosts really go above and beyond. We definitely hope to be back soon :)

Just got back from a 1 night stay that was purchased for us as a Xmas gift, we were greeted by kev who was so welcoming and warned us not to open the coffin after 11pm. The rooms were fabulously decorated and breakfast was by far the best I've had in any b&b. The dracular room is the one we stayed in but definitely want to try the other rooms. This is a hidden gem and comes highly recommended. All the rooms have there own separate bathroom and parking is also available. We will be back. X

It's taken nearly 13 years for us to get here for our honeymoon and it was well worth the wait. Lovely warm welcome and family atmosphere and Kev was willing to keep the house open a little later after a few unforseen circumstances. Huge breakfast that set me up until about 6pm, own bathroom and also found Kev was a bit of a VAST fan. Will have to make a few more trips just to visit the different rooms. Can not give enough praise and will defiantly not take another 13 years to visit again. Thanks Kev and Trish for such a lovely weekend

I would go to this hotel if u can definitely go... no compassion,,,we booked for 2 nights but could only go for 1 due to work commitments that were unforeseen but had someone to take our place but they are not interested because they haven't met them.... its not cheap and was paid for so cannot see the problem !!!Kev likes his exclamation marks!!!!..... unhelpful!!!!! rude!!!!!! £176 down the pan!!!! con man.... It might be a lovely hotel but first impressions I am so glad we haven't gone!!!!!! ruined weekend need to find somewhere else in Whitby..anyone... 1 night

Had a brilliant 3 days staying here for my birthday, Kev and Tish gave me a bottle of prosecco to celebrate!!! Kev is the perfect host, nothing is too much trouble...even offered to pick us up from Staithes if we missed the last bus!!! The room was beautiful, bed so comfy and loved all the decor around the rooms and corridors. The breakfast room was amazing, candlelit breakfast listening to The Damned, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes amongst many others, and again nothing too much trouble. This place is an absolute gem and we will definitely be returning, hopefully in the very near future. Thank you Kev and Tish you made our stay a very good experience ���

Great comfy lovely rooms, I love all this vampire gothic stuff so right up our street! We loved it. We went for a chill out and we got that. However it will cater for how ever you want. Great experience !! Seee ya soon Kev!

First time visitor with my fiance and we will now regular visitors for as long as bats and broomsticks are open. Made to feel so welcome it felt like a second home almost instantly. Combining my favourite dark themes and horror throughout really makes this place stand out. The Dracula room was simply breathtaking and the decor throughout was inspiring!



The bed was literally the devil in the way I could not get out of it ! Extremely comfortable !



Kev was a gent and a true genuine person who was an absolute pleasure to speak with as easily as speaking with an old friend.



I highly recommend a stay to everyone.



Cannot wait till we return. Think I need to open up a calendar and select a date or 2....Or 3

Fangtastic place to stay. Have just got home and want to go back. Shame we only had two nights. If you have the time and so does Kev I bet you could talk about punk rock and whitby all day. Kev certainly knows how to do a full English it literally fills you up for the rest of the day. Punk music in the morning is just perfect. Hoping to stay in the dracula room next time.

Great Gothic themed through out the B+B from top to bottom.

The attention to detail is spot on I won't say any more you'll have to find out for yourselves.

Absolutely fangtastic stay here for WGW 2017 and our 10 year belated honeymoon sooooooo worth the wait, stayed in dracula room, dead comfortable, kev extremely helpful and so funny! Luckily we didn’t need the emergency kit this stay...Breakfast to die for filled me up for most of the day which as was corsetted up came in very handy!! � Lol short walk to whitby town centre, such a relaxed friendly atmosphere and will deffo be back again, worth every single penny! Want the dragon mirror in the bathroom so bad ���
