All Ladies group - we are currently looking at Wed afternoons, however we're open to meet the requirements of the majority.
VENUE: SOUTH PARK - CLOCK TOWER... WHEN: WEDNESDAY [throughout September] TIME: 1 - 2PM [Registration 12.45pm COST: FREE LOAN: We can loan you a bike/helmet for free MUST BOOK THIS IN ADVANCE
We are very keen to set up and develop an all ladies group and we are looking for like minded individuals who would be interested.
• We have at our disposal 20 bikes / helmets to loan the group if required
• We have a ride / group leader fully qualified to support, guide and develop the group [Michelle or Juelz]
• We can provide basic bike maintenance, such as repairing punctures
Our vision is to encourage and get together an all ladies group who meet weekly, develop their confidence and riding skills. Go out on rides appropriate to their level, create a nice leisurely fun weekly session. Develop a nice social group who over time may look to take on some of the responsibilities. For example, we have funding where we can place people interested onto ride leader courses.

Sunday Ride
Good ride out today. Some people were away so just the four of us today. We decided to do a few extra hills seeing as we were all feeling fit.

What a place. Real treasure trove of rare, restored machines. My wheel was transformed from broken and cobwebbed to true and straight in no time. Thanks.

What a brilliant little shop. Had been to other bike shops in darlington looking for a seat post for my boys bike to no avail. Popped in just before closing and after a bit of looking out back found one on and old bike. Practically gave it away to me and when asked if he was sure his response was "hopefully you will be back". This I definitely will be when i go looking to get my youngest a bike.

Very helpful, and delighted with my bike. Would definitely recommend for others to use you either to get a bike or just an mot on an existing one. Thanks!

Just been out on my Trek mtb after you sorted my gears, absolutely perfect. Just covered in mud now!

I went on the Adult bike ride at the South Park this afternoon (Tuesdays 1-2pm) and I really enjoyed it. We started off by going through some basic bike checks and then on to cycling techniques followed by a ride around the park - next week we are going further afield on one of Darlington’s bike routes. I can thoroughly recommend this group for people like myself who want to gain confidence and enjoy the fresh air and exercise - there were lots of hints and tips and plenty of support as well as a few laughs along the way - many thanks.

Helpful and lovely staff will defo join the team for some thank you volunteering! :) Big up!

Excellent and friendly advice this morning. Great runabout bike but they had some higher spec bikes available too. It's hard to beat - good value, pleasant and informative service, and knowing you're dealing with a charitable cause.

Couldn't have had a better experience. I went in to get my bike serviced and came out with two bikes for my son. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Absolutely fantastic.

Brilliant service yesterday!!! Dropped off my pushchair with 2 flat tyres. Couple of hours later it was all fixed! Thank you for such great service.

Bought a mountain bike for my son Peter from Bike Stop at a great price. Within 2 weeks of buying it Peter could ride it safely and with confidence thanks to owner Rob organising 2 fantastic junior confidence sessions which Peter attended free of charge. During those sessions instructors Ollie and Dave taught Peter, amongst other things, how to safety check his bike, the two types of brakes on a bike, how to use brakes safely when riding down a hill, where to place body weight in different situations, mounting kerbs, ideal seat height in order to use the correct leg muscles properly and how to do moving mounts and dismounts. There's also plans for Peter and I to go out on led rides. Can't thank Rob enough for all this and would recommend Bike Stop to everyone.
