It's our 1st Birthday, and our buildings 100th birthday!! 💯
Blacks Corner will be hosting celebrations for our 1 year, and the building's Centenary on Saturday 22nd from 5:00pm where we shall have entertainment with complimentary drinks and canapés in the bar a garden for all to enjoy (first come first serve)
At 7:00pm we shall be revealing a commemorative plaque celebrating 100 years of our building standing at the gateway to East Boldon Village
... Then on the evening of Sunday 23rd September, we shall be hosting a special cheese and wine tasting event!

just returned from my birthday celebrations at Blacks Corner and had to comment on my evening. From the moment they accepted our booking to the moment they said goodnight the service was impeccable. Nothing was a trouble, the food was amazing and so tasty and the atmosphere was great. A big thank you to all the staff who made my night so special and to Jonny for his extra little touches, especially the prosceco and little lucy. An excellent and very welcome venue in Boldon. Congratulations and thank you

Visited Blacks corner for the third time this evening. I am not usually one for reviews but this has to be done.

Staff are wonderful and a total credit they obviously enjoy their work and are attentive.

We had the blacks platter and a fantastic flat bread. later I had the spiced pear and ice cream. Such an inspiration I loved it.

On leaving we spoke to the owner and I was delighted that he was interested to hear our comments. We thought serving a little honey with the cheese and maybe trying bread instead of biscuits would add interest to the cheese boards or platters.

We will be back. Well done

The not afternoon tea was delicious. Really nice selection of savoury and sweet things. Lovely ambiance inside and nice selection of meats and cheeses. There was 24 options on menu I'd have happily chosen. Friendly welcoming staff. Advise book well in advance as can get very busy.

Super ambiance and excellent menu supporting local cheese and charcuterie producers. A refreshing change from traditional pub and cafe menus. Loved the home made pear relish. We will also be back for more of the great organic Sicilian red wine ��

Really nice place great food and staff exceptionally good even after a mix up with our booking. By me. they sorted us out with a table keeping us informed every few minutes. Well worth trying. Thanks to all the staff. We will be back.

Really delicious food, great atmosphere, a gorgeous interior and lovely service. The only flaw is I live too far away to be a regular visitor.

My favourite place highly recommended the food is amazing and staff are lovely can’t wait to come back xx

Lovely meeting place with friends. Gorgeous red wine. Enjoyed the flat breads. Beautiful surroundings. Slight downside- the grapes weren’t as fresh as I’d expect on sharing platter- no big issue though!!

Looking forward to returning soon.

Staff very friendly and attentive.

Then we got asked to try a freebie, a soup they were trying out - Wild Mushroom, blue cheese and cream. Oh My Days, for some-one who doesn't like mushroom soup, I loved it. Recommended they added soups to menu as we 3 love a nice bowl of the warming stuff.

Definitely be going back.

I’ve been today, for lunch to celebrate my birthday. It was recommended by a friend who lives nearby. The decor inside & out was so inviting & appealing. The service was spot on & just the perfect timing in between courses. We all ordered different mains & deserts & each one was so tasty. Can’t wait to visit again x x x

Great addition to East Boldon, really enjoyed our cheese/meat platter and wine. Good atmosphere, busy but not crowded and friendly staff. We’ll be back when we’re next up visiting family.

After delving into their locally sourced assortments of cheese and meats and celebrating our first wedding anniversary, my wife and I decided we wanted to get divorced.... just so we could have another wedding catered with one of Black's Corner signature cheese cakes. Best. Place. Ever.

Absolutely love everything about this place. Would highly recommended if you are a lover of local produce. Atmosphere is friendly & relaxed whilst the staff are knowledgeable & attentive. Definitely worthy of �����

Lovely corner venue with rustic charm. Staff very friendly & helpful. It is a wine bar with delicatecent food. As I ate my lovely flatbread of Worcestershire ham and cheese I kept wishing I could of ordered chips with it, but it’s not that kind of place. My first visit but won’t be my last!
