Folks should come and have a look at our freezers full of wonderful pork! Extremely reasonable prices and very delicious. Just give a buzz to make sure we’re in before you turn up.....
We haven’t kept pigs for almost 10 years, have just started again. So our first instalment of pork is now available in our freezers - lovely chops, excellent sausages, plus some belly pork and joints. The sausages and chops would be delicious cooked on your fire in the woods! Or if you are interested, you can come and choose from the joints we have to take home for your Sunday roast...... Hope to see you soon. Steph
I am collecting for the Changing Lives homeless project in Newcastle - they are desperate for rucksacks, warm clothes, underwear especially socks and boxers. If you have anything suitable, do drop it off with me and I’ll sort and take it to the centre. If you have unwanted bedding or kitchen items (not electric) I can take those to the refugee support service. Also children’s clothes. Thanks, Steph

If you have to come by car to the Food Festival on July 7th........
* The usual entrance to our yard will be closed to traffic from 11.30 until 5pm - pedestrians and bikes only. * If you have a blue badge you can come in the Beech House entrance on Burn Road and park on our neighbour's drive. * If you have mobility issues, there may be some parking on the Council property close by opposite the Beech House entrance.... * There is some waste ground at the bottom of Burn Road where it meets Longridge Road - quite a few people could park cars there and walk up the Blaydon Burn House and Farm Drive. * There is a lot of parking in our field which is just a short walk to the yard and garden where the Festival takes place. This is how you get there from Burn Road: Drive up Burn Road until the give way point, turn sharp right onto Barlow Lane. Drive through the houses until you come out of the 30mph restriction. A short way further on there's an exclamation mark road sign - indicate right and the turn into our field is shortly after that. Follow markers down the field to the bottom, (taking it easy as it is a farm) turn right and carry on along there to join the parking - you'll see the cars, just follow the pattern. Then carry on walking in the same direction and you will arrive! We have spent a huge amount of time and money fixing the tracks so unless there is an absolute deluge, no one should get stuck.

Travelling to our Food and Music Festival Do try and come by bus or bike - there'll be bike parking in the field and the R6 stops outside our gate on Burn Road. The 49 stops at the Flight just a wee way up the hill, and the Blaydon Racer no 12 stops at Winlaton Bus Station from which it's a 10 minutes walk to the Beech House entrance on Burn Road. Look forward to seeing you there!
Look what arrived yesterday! Clever Lucky - 7 beautiful pups.
A lovely event coming up - please publicise as much as you can amongst your friends. Great food, great music, great space to be in. At an astonishingly great price!!
Look what's happening in July......
Who remembers the last few Local Food Festivals we've held at Blaydon Burn Farm? Well there's going to be another one - number 4 - this year on Saturday July 7th, 12-5pm. Lovely local food and drink, fun activities, great live music from local bands. Little bit more expensive this year as I'm having to hire in more stuff, but still only £2 per adult, 50p child, real littlies free. Come and celebrate and support!
Lambing time and puppy time all at once! 9 beautiful Springer Spaniel pups and just 6 lambs up to now - more to come. And the daffodils are out.
Lambing time has begun!
I'm so glad you had a lovely day. Sxx
