We’ve been going for years and have never had a bad meal. Food in terms of quality and price is top notch. I’ve also always found the staff fantastic and welcoming.

Wedding breakfast/celebration for Marie and Matthew Johnson, the food and service was fantastic a big part of a wonderful day

We went for my daughters 10th birthday meal with friends. There was 5 adults and 9 children. What an amazing place. Food was amazing, staff were amazing (sorry about the broken glass) service was fast and friendly. I took my own cake and they brought it out for her and sung happy birthday. She has had an amazing evening. Thank you so much. We will be back.

This restaurant has been around since I was a student nurse and I still love the place 34 years later. Great menu and great atmosphere

My son recommended this restaurant for his 26th birthday. Food was outstanding, staff very attentive. We were even allowed to bring in a birthday cake for him. Definitely gonna return, my only little criticism is the time between starter and main meal, not long enough to enjoy and let food to settle before next course came out..

Just had my Mother's Day meal here, I started coming here when it opened in the 80s, lovely to see fash such a familiar face and the food is lovely as ever. A real treat. Thank you to the hard working staff

Fantastic place. Christmas menu was brilliant only one vegetarian option though, I think, but it was superb. The portions for the set price of £18 for a three course meal was well worth it. My garlic mushrooms starter was chocker block full of mushrooms & garlic & came to my table bubbling. Vegetable Stroganoff was the same, piping hot and full of amazing flavors. I had to wait for both to cool down a bit but it was still hot as I was making my way through both.

The sweet was lemon & raspberry cheesecake. Delicious.



I really can’t fault the food at all. The staff were brilliant, despite having to put up with our large group. Would go again and can highly recommend Borge to anyone.

Staff are as attentive and efficient as they were all those years ago, fantastic local place and fresh food. Fash is pretty great too

Came here tonight for my nephews birthday. As usual the staff were great & really friendly. Everybody had a nice meal.....until.....the desert menu! Why oh why has the chocolate box been taken off? It was the best thing about Borges and have been ordering it for years! The menu now has plain old hot chocolate fudge cake in its place, making it the just the same as any other establishment now. Come on Borges, bring back the chocolate box so i can give you a 5 star rating again!

The staff and service where wonderful. The food on a whole was great, me and my partner loved it however we ordered a side of chips as what we saw from waiters taking food to other tables they looked gorgeous but ours came and you could tell that they where frozen chips and had been deep fat fried. The food arrived really fast and waiters came and asked if you wanted another drink as soon as your glass was empty.

It's ok but don't stay for desert- garlic bread is lovely and so is the panto and borge special pasta ! But leave before desert !!

Why do I have to leave 1 star, 0 star would be more accurate? I've ate at a good many places none as awful as here.



I had pasta and it was tasteless and can only be described as heinz condensed tomato soup over pasta.



My friend ordered a parmo and when moved half of the coating was stuck to the plate underneath. The chicken was tasteless. Shocked this had ever won a parmo award as you get much better at a takeaway.



Ordered a pint of coke, it came in a glass that was nowhere near a pint.



I'll give you something though it was an experience, an experience I'll never be coming back to live again!

Booked this restraunt for my friends hen party.

Upon booking through there Facebook page I asked if they where disabled friendly acomidating a wheel chair and ground floor toilets. As my friends mam was disabled and so was my mam. I was promised they had a ground floor toilets and wide enough space for the wheel chair.



I arrived early to decorate the table only to find that have lost my booking and didn't have a clue about it either. I was place on a table the was crammed into the back of the place ( no space for a wheel chair) luckily for us my friends mam chose to bring her sticks instead of her chair but she was still squashed and uncomfortable.



The bride to be asked for the toilets to be told that where up 2 flights of stairs and not at all ground level as told before booking.



I then asked for my steak to be medium rare I received it well done and it's was dry and horrible.



We then eat our peice of desert of which we had just finished when they brought the bill over pushing us to leave . After just 90 mins in the restraunt for a 3 course meal. Leaving us to pay and leave with unfinished drinks. Because they wanted our table.



This was our first time in this restaurant and we will not be coming back here again. Absolutely disgusted that they took my booking and provided false information that they couldn't accommodate for.
