We had tea and some delicious Yorkshire brack with butter. I enjoyed it so much that I bought a whole brack to take home to Hertfordshire with me. We also had some great service - very friendly and helpful.

We called in for a cup off tea .the service was amazing the staff where also amazing. Glad to see places like this still exist. Keep up the good work

Took friends mid afternoon for sandwiches , cakes and tea . All superb. We had a very pleasant young man serving us who went out of his way to please . One of the waitresses who appeared to be in charge however appeared to be rushing everyone (not just us I might add ) Although it was around 3.30 when we ordered cakes (and we had mentioned to our waiter we would be ordering later too) it all seemed to be too much trouble and she was clearly anxious to get home . Service with a cheery smile is needed right to the end of the day . I will still give full marks as the food was good and our young man clearly tried to please and make up for her lack of correct service .

The service I got yesterday was just above and beyond from Paula at the Baxtergate shop, I left it till late in the afternoon to get my shopping. They had run out of some things I needed, and Paula happily took time to find me alternatives. A very happy customer. Well done Team Baxtergate ��

The afternoon tea was beautiful, and the service was excellent ( and no, I don't THINK we're related, lol).

Thank you so much for the decorated cake we ordered online for my parents golden anniversary for while we was in Whitby. They loved it, the only problem was having to cut it �.

Scrumptious carrot cake (although it could possibly benefit from some crushed walnuts sprinkled on top) and lovely toasted sandwiches! Very happy with our lunch date! ☺️

I would like to thank you for the beautiful personalised 80th birthday cake we purchased on line from you . Although we were a bit late ordering it it was delivered safely before the target date. Mum thought the decorating of the cake was amazing and the fruit cake was very tasty and moist. The only problem was she didn't want us to cut it and spoil your good work. Will not hesitate to recommend your cakes and good service. Thanks from all the family.

We also popped into the shop the following morning before heading home after a weeks holiday in Whitby and bought some gifts and goodies for ourselves.

Lovely old fashioned tea room with high quality products and service. Such a delightful change from the usual high street chain shop experience ...shall return for another visit in the Springtime!👍😊
