Breaks for 2 offer couples the chance to swap the stresses of everyday life for a relaxing, rural retreat. With a choice of 3 self-catering cottages and all year availability, you can experience the stunning views of Northumberland whenever you desire.
All of our 1 bedroom cottages were built in the 19th century and are fully-equipped with central heating, a king-size bed, a plasma TV in both the living room and bedroom, a cooker and fridge, and a wet room – featuring underfloor heating and a power shower. There’s also ample parking available.

What a lovely week we have had in rose cottage. Our holiday started with lovely walks along Bamburgh beach to seahouses, low Newton and Ross beach where we were lucky enough to see the seals. Then the beast from the East arrived with a vengeance and surrounded us in snow drifts which was not a problem as the cottage was so cosy. We enjoyed spending time in the hot tub, walking through the drifts on the lane to the bird hide where we saw deer, woodpeckers, pheasants and lots of other species. Gabrielle
went the extra miles ensuring we had food and Sandra called everyday to make sure we were ok and even brought us home made produce which was delicious and really appreciated. Can't wait to go back
We had a lovely time staying at daisy cottage, it was so quiet and relaxing. The cottage was well equipped and we made the most of having use of the hot tub! The cottage was in a good location to the surrounding areas and close to the main tourist sites including Lindisfarne and Bamburgh Castle. We would definitely consider staying again!
Our second stay in rose cottage was even better than the first. A great location only five minutes from the coast at Bamburgh and what a stunning coast line it is... ranging from sandy beaches with stunning castles to rugged cliffs.... rivers and hills not far away and a stones throw from the Scottish border... a landscape photographers dream.
Love the Poppy cottage. Really comfortable and homely. Has everything you need. Cycled to Seahouses and Bamburgh castle - 12 miles tracked! Recommend for any couple or friends who are happy in a huge bed!
Had a fab time here in Rose cottage it was very relaxing and the sun even shone for a while and we got out and about intend to go back again
Fabulous Cottage in a beautiful location. Very friendly welcome on arrival. So calm and comfortable.
Excellent cottage we stayed in Poppy a real homely feel. Superb for all the key tourist attractions. The cottage offers a very comfortable king size bed, luxurious heated shower floor, a secluded garden with a lovely outdoor area for chilling out. All aspects of the cottage are delivered to a high standard and Gabrielle is a professional and personable manager. We expect high standards and the Breaks for 2 hit the mark. Thanks for a fantastic break.
