Would like to thank the Tindale Team for the lovely gesture for our twins birthday tea. They decorated our table and even took the time to write birthday cards. We were overwhelmed. A special thanks to Amelia.

We had a lovely buffet breakfast with the family. Plenty of choice and also you could order other breakfast food of the menu. Very good service. They have a nice play area for the children.

Picked up my 9 yr old from Shildon she brought her half sister with her and we visited your brewers fayre from start to finished looked after in the play area with ultimate ease from all your staff I just sat there and paid the bill big thanks to the tindale crossing team

My husband and I eat here with Oliver 6 about once a month. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. The kids menu is great as theres everything on it even for fussy eaters. There is quite a variety on the adults menu too although we usually just buy from the 2 for £9 menu. Overall a great little pub.

Lovely meal celebrating me dads 85th birthday, staff were all amazing n even give me dad a birthday card xx

I go here on a regular basis with the kids due to them having a soft play area. Yes you have to pay £3 but this is for 90minutes play, if it's not busy they don't ask you to leave and the kids love it. The girls in the soft play are lovely, they do watch the kids within reason but they are there to serve customers in the play area and tidy up too, you however are there to watch your own kids. When you go to ruff and tumble and bamboozles they don't supervise your kids for £5 so why should they, have a word with the parents. Meals are always nice and great price especially if you go during the week. The only thing I can say bad against the place is that they should offer the 2 for £11 meals on a weekend which i have emailed as i think this would attract more people, The March Hare are always full with 2 for 1. We had the breakfast yesterday was lovely and kids eat free with an adult so win win

Huge thanks to the staff at Brewers Fayre at Tindale Crossing, especially our waitress, Marie. You guys went above and beyond to make my son's birthday special.

Daniel and Andrew are both very happy little boys

Great for children to play in the soft play. Food fine for pub grub!

5 adults and 3 children went on Sunday to celebrate my Dads 71st bday. We all opted for the carvery. The food was lovely. Some grumbles from children as no carrots, but the rest of us enjoyed the veg which was peas, cabbage, red cabbage, root veg mash, and cauliflower cheese . Roast and mashed potatoes, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings and gravy. Horseradish/mint/ apple sauce. Gammon, beef and turkey. I am vegetarian and asked for the veggie option, which was a Wellington type pie, and some veggie gravy. I was advised this would come to the table. Well, I'd nearly finished my veggies by the time it came, they did apologise though. It was beautiful, not quite sure what was in it but very tasty. The staff very kindly brought my dads bday cake and candles to the table which I had brought to the restaurant , then provided us with a knife and plates for us to eat it. Very nice of them. The children's desserts were great, really good value for money. Soft play was fab, and yes, the staff let our children go in and out despite being over the 90 minutes time frame. Loved the refillable soft drinks and the costa coffee. We will definitely be back x

Well if u a single mam its hard to choose whether 2 ov the kids meals is better n then the 3 pound in play area is a bit harsh if u single n havin a hard time choosin food it just a headache n wen we got burgers they were rock hard but bairn loved her sweet.

We went for a meal yesterday the food was fine but had to wait a long time for main meal and even longer for pudding.

I was there yesterday with two children. The kids loved the play area. £3 for 90 minutes, not bad. The staff in there were really nice and did keep an eye on the kids. We had a meal there and the food was nice, we all enjoyed it. What did spoil it for me was the service at the bar. It did take quite a while to get served even though the place wasn't busy, but the three different girls who served us obviously did not want to be there. They were very surly faced, not a single smile between them. I felt as if i was bothering them while trying to order. Quite disappointing. Hopefully it will be better next time

Had mexican chilli. Small portion. Very bland

Called in after a visit to the hospital. It wasn't busy but after waiting 25 minutes my husband had to go and find out what the hold up was. Food eventually arrived and it was only average, but the waiter did apologise to us for the delay in us getting our food. Won't be rushing back I am afraid.

Was enjoying a so called meal but kids running around the restaurant with water pistols , and the parents were not bothered they were not toddlers but children who should of had more sense, was going to stay for a dessert but decided to just go pay our bill and leave feeling , went to bar to pay the bill and here we have it a group of people and one had to declare that he was gay and swearing every other word so yes didn't enjoy it at all .

Two very poor main courses retuned. Meat lasagne had about a teaspoon of meat and sauce in it. Black and blue burger- burgers could have doubled as coasters. Offered replacements but declined. Given 2 free desserts ( a third of the cost of the 2 very poor mains) very very underwhelmed. Staff nice enough but customer service very poor.

This afternoon my wife children and I decided to visit brewers fare for our dinner. The staff where fine but when we ordered the carvey they neglected to tell us there wasn’t any beef or gammon so it was a choice of turkey or turkey. I also ordered a desert called Black Forest trifle which was what I can only describe as goop. I’m glad to say we had a refund for the trifle but this is the first time we’ve ever had a complaint about the restaurant after many visits.

User

Most of the meals were ok but my daughter's hot dog bun had mould on it - she was half way through eating when she noticed. She has been ill for about 24h since then (sickness and stomach upset). To be fair to the staff they were apologetic and did offer a refund on her meal and free desserts, which I appreciate and why I gave two stars rather than one, but this shouldn't have happened at all.
