Wow - where have you been hiding - what a fantastic find - love love love it - your in another world in fact your in a totally different city when you walk downstairs - friendly welcoming and we have all said we will be back not only for drink but food as the food being served looked and smelt amazing - thank you for making our Saturday better than the normal xxx

Treated myself to a bottle (750ml) of House of the Rising Sun last night. I was a tad apprehensive about the 'chocolate and raspberry' elements but I had no need to be. They bring just the right amount of their character to the dark porter. Rich, balanced and very drinkable. Stunning.

Sampled at Fenwick at the weekend, bought a few bottles trying the Mason-Dixie Line IPA. Outstanding clean and crisp citrus flavours

Popped in for coffee and lunch today. The coffee was unreal! We shared a scotch egg, goats cheese salad and pan haggerty. The food was amazing! I can see myself becoming a regular here ’┐Į

Mason-Dixon Line was superb. I'm looking forward to a series of tributes to North East legends. Giuseppe Wilson Stout?

Just having a bottle of Hop Gremlin. Strongish (5.6%) IPA. Lots of citrussy hops. Tasty.

Just had a bottle of 'Chinese Pagoda'. A refreshing take on the American style pale ale. A nice blend of cream soda, lemons and gentle hops in the first taste. Then comes the coconut. Wow! Refreshing but tasty. The bitterness isn't as aggressive as in 'Fool's Gold' or as resinous as in 'Hop Gremlin' but it's there. This is a delightful ale, could become a summer favourite (if we get any summer!). But that coconut taste is weird........

Just discovered this absolute gem!What an amazing place,the staff are some the friendliest bar staff we have ever met,drinks are incredible and the food,Geordie tapas,is amazing!Pan Haggeerty with beer cheese...wow!A proper Geordie gem with proper Geordie welcome,we will be back!!!

I popped my ale cherry here on Sunday and I've never been so content! All of the bar advice was perfect and all of the ales I tried were so tasty. Tried the food and it's easily the best I've tried down the Ouseburn in a long while. The bavette steak was just instant melt in your mouth with it's beautiful accompaniments, the black pud scotch egg just too lush and the bakewell tart is a thing of cake goodness! Great stuff Brinkburn!
