User

Went today was having a good bit chat with the lad who worked there was telling me n kids all about the collection and was great with me kids ’┐Į’┐Į

User

We visited today as part of our first week of the school holidays and so glad we kick started our days out with Butterfly world and Preston park...

staff were very helpful and friendly and our entry fee allowed us to visit though out the day...

a great park for the kids in fact itŌĆÖs probably one of the best parks weŌĆÖve been to for ages... the skate park was fab!

User

Visited today for the second time (first time with all 3 children) one being autistic.... my son was asking questions and speaking to anyone who would listen ... luckily he came across a member of staff, who talked him through the ants, helped him find caterpillars and just generally chatted to both the boys .... our first stress free trip out as a family .... we genuinely love this place .... thank you

User

Took my granddaughter yesterday.. Fabulous place. Gorgeous butterflies, orchids and Koi carp. Well worth a visit. The house is worth a look too. So cheap and you keep the pass for a year. At the back of the house is like Beamish, old shops and gardens. Massive park for kids to play and if the weather is good, stay for the day with a picnic. There's even a river where you can hire a boat or they do a 40 min cruise.

Though it was smaller than I expected, I spent well over an hour in there today with my daughter. She loved watching the butterflies flutter around her. A couple of them landed on her pram, too, and one took up residence on my head for a while. Will be going back as my daughter grows.

Also loved being able to see the butterflies emerging, too.

This place feels magical. Could not believe my eyes. Very passionate & knowledgeable people . A tropical paradise. My 19 months old daughter, me, her mother, grandmother & grandfather had the best time. Very reasonable pricing.

User

Lovely! Came here with my nieces and nephews today and they absolutely adored it.. especially being able to feed the fish! Thank you! We will come again. Ps the young lady on the cash only till was so good with them and is a real credit to you xx

User

Lovely day out for the family. My four year old had the most magical experience when a butterfly sat on her hand. My one year adored the fish and the waterfall and my husband and I loved the scenery. Our whole family smiled the entire day.

User

Have been coming here since I was little and it never fails to amaze me. Great place to visit with children. You pay once to get in butterfly world and you can go in and out as many times as you like through the day. Massive play park and river walks nearby. Small but clean and friendly cafe and toilets nearby. Also parking is free.

User

Great day all round let us look round the shop at the end even though it was nearly closing time so that was nice :) cafe was busy but the people who worked there were very helpful n polite they deserved a pat on the back too

User

First time we have visited and loved it, my 15months old was getting so excited about the butterfly's flying about and a few landed on Head which was hilarious and loved the reptiles and meerkats

Definitely be coming back again xx

User

First time I've visited (mid week) and what a great place! So many butterflies to see and the beautiful orchids and plants as well. Loved the low admission fee and the simplicity of the place. Will definitely be returning ¤śŖ

User

Came with my family today. Reasonably priced for a family ticket. We all enjoyed seeing the butterflies, meerkats and reptiles. Will definitely come back again. x

User

Brought my insect obsessed 5 year old after he had been learning about butterflies at school. I had been here years ago but it was his 1st time and he loved it! We went 1st thing it was nice and quiet and managed to get around no problems however we went back in later on and it was packed! Maybe a system when a few in at a time would work well at busier times :) I also counted up a few dead butterflies on the floor when we went back ’┐Į however this didn't ruin our day. Great value for money too, my little boy was over the moon when he was lucky enough to have one land on him. Fab day recommend to all x

User

Beautiful place, it was lovely to see all the butterflies and the planting. The pools are beautiful. It is obvious that a lot of hard work goes into the maintenance. My only comment would be that staff remind visitors upon entry to look with their eyes not their hands, it was upsetting to see parents not correcting children plodding at the butterflies and potentially hurting them.

User

Beautiful place to visit, not to expensive and places to sit if needed, staff are extremely friendly and approachable lots of variety of butterflies, as well as reptiles and of course the meerkats

User

Went with my daughter and three year old granddaughter, reasonably priced, butterflies were beautiful, my granddaughter loved feeding the fish, she also adored the meerkat. She did not want to leave them.the weather unfortunately was dreadful when we were there so she missed out on the children's playground. It would be nice if the meerkat and reptiles had a bigger space,it gets very crowded in there.all in all it was a lovely say out and will definitely go back when the weather is better!!!

User

Only small, but an experience that is wonderful to visit that is local. Went with my grandson who loved it. Butterflies are flying all around you in this tropical environment that has been created and it is wonderful to see. We spent just under an hour walking around and there is a separate area after the tropical part, that has meerkats, snakes and reptiles in cases.

Be prepared for the humid climate on entering as anyone with breathing issues might find it hard to adjust. It is warm in there.
