Bywell Shooting Ground Description

Please note that our postcode fools some sat navs.

We're actually really easy to find! We are located roughly midway between Alnwick and Morpeth, so :

Heading North on the A1:
Once you have gone past Morpeth and the road has turned into a single carriageway you need to continue for approx 7 miles. You will pass a turning on your left signposted Burgham Park Golf Club and it is the next turning on the left that you will need to take, signposted for Weldon Bridge / Bywell. You will then see the farm about 1 /2 mile down this road on your right.

Heading South on the A1:
After you pass the first turning for Felton (on your right), the A1 will turn into single carriageway. You will pass a turning on your left for Felton and Amble Marina - continue for approx 1 /2 mile and turn right at the signpost for Weldon Bridge / Bywell. You will then see the farm about 1 /2 mile down this road on your right.

Heading North on the A697:
On the A697 you will pass through the village of Longhorsley heading in the direction of Longramlington. You will go past Linden Hall Golf and Country Club - after approximately 1 mile you will need to turn right, signposted Felton / Bywell. Follow this road for approximately 2 1 /2 miles and you will see the farm on your left.

Heading South on the A697:
On the A697 you will pass through the village of Longframlington heading in the direction of Longhorsley. You will pass a sign on the right for Rothbury / Anglers Arms before the road dips and goes uphill. Once at the top of this hill (approx 3 /4 miles after Anglers Arms sign) you will n eed to turn left at the Felton / Bywell signpost. Follow this road for approximately 2 1 /2 miles and you will see the farm on your left.

If you are a member of the CPSA please take the time to vote. ItŌĆÖs not often a local shooter such as John Harrison gets nominated, it would be great to see him win and very well deserved.
