We went to Cafe Farah with our Granddaughter Mollie on Friday Night,and had a fantastic meal as always,the food and service was Brilliant as well as the set menu you also have the Specials which also gives you more choice of menu.we are all looking forward to our next visit.not only for the Delicious food, you'll be greeted by how friendly the Staff.are.Xx

This is the second time me and my wife have been in for dinner. Had pasta and pizza on the first visit both were so tasty and freshly cooked. By far the best pasta I have ever tried.

The second time, which was today we both got paella and it was so nice again, we can’t wait to go back.

The staff are so friendly and so helpful, they explain the dishes and really know their food. As well as everyone in the restraunt is great with the kids.

This is Sunderland’s secret gem of a restaurant, get the word out.

I loved the decor and light airy feel.

Food - absolutely gorgeous! We were able to order children’s meals as only wanted small portions for lunch.

Will definitely be back, but on a teatime or evening when not having to clock watch to go back to work afterwards! Plus will save room for dessert as they looked delicious.

Every staff member was friendly and chatty and nothing seemed too much trouble.

Myself and my husband have visited cafe farah on several ocassions now and we have always been treated great by the staff (very friendly) and the food is exceptional and the desserts are to die for would highly recomend paying them a visit you wont be disappointed the menu has quite a range to choose from and the food is always piping hot

My daughter and her gran came last night. My daughter has recently started slimming World so didn't want any food as she was trying to be good. The staff here were so supportive and cooked a special meal of meatballs and spaghetti as slimming World friendly as they could. Well done cafe farah going above and beyond. It was also delicious x

Lovely, warm, friendly atmosphere. All 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and the baclava was absolutely gorgeous. Aaron was our main server, and he was relaxed, friendly, attentive and made the kids laugh with his humour. Thank you for the extra touch of candle and all staff singing happy birthday to James. We rarely go out, but next time we do you will be our 1st choice.

Lovely food, friendly staff, good value for money. I thought this was going to be like a cafe but I would say the food was restaurant quality, great for lunch in town! Would return and would recommend.

It was my birthday yesterday and my husband took me and our grandson to Cafe Farah for coffee and cake. What a lovely treat it was, we chose our cakes but when they arrived at the table mine had a candle in it and the staff came and sang happy birthday to me. They made us feel so special and I had a wonderful time there. We do visit the cafe and are always made most welcome, one of our favourite places. Thank you everyone of you �

Had an early evening visit to Cafe Farah with my wife and son and we weren't disappointed. Nice surroundings, attentive, friendly staff and great food. We had the 3 courses for £9.95 and it was excellent value and delicious with plenty of choice. We will be visiting again soon.

Food was amazing the decor is fantastic and the staff are just lovely and upbeat. I put a good review on Sunderland foodies page and I can't wait to come back and try some of your other dishes and deserts and the mocha I had yesterday was just amazing never tasted one like it before

First visit today with my husband and daughter and will definitely be coming back. We were seated in a lovely place but husband noticed a booth came free and asked if we could move across. Staff were happy for us to move and helped us. My daughter refused to move as she wanted to be on the chairs. A lovely gentleman (think he’s one of the owners) moved a chair across for us for her to sit on. We did manage to get her into the booth and put the chair back. We were shocked at the portion sizes of pizza and pasta for the price. Well worth the money. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Fabulous customer service, waitress was lovely and so friendly. Had the happy hour half pizza and chips £3.99 bargain and yummy! Will definitely be returning � lovely addition to this area of Sunderland. If you're going to the cinema, go here before or after you won't be disappointed

Enjoyed a fantastic pre-theatre meal on Wednesday 16 May before going to see Matilda with family & friends. The service was so friendly, didn't catch the guys name who served us but he gave us the warmest of welcome and went above and beyond to make our visit feel special. Thank you!

The food was delicious, I enjoyed the Lobster Ravioli which was light but full of flavour. Others enjoyed the pizza & pasta combo with chips, which they really enjoyed, especially the fact they actually got a mini pizza each!

Would love to see this place get busier as it really is great food and fantastic value.

Nice little touches and yesterday because I had finished my meal and was waiting for my son to finish his, I was offered a free top up of a teapot full of tea. Thanks will definitely be back. And I must say the salmon risotto is to die for. One thing that i would like to see on the menu would be a selection of salads. Thank you.

I went for food with two of my friends before seeing a film, we all ordered different food that was lovely, good portion sizes and the staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was nice as well. We were offered free shots which was a lovely gesture, will be going here again.

We came here Friday the 21st, using the restaurant week menu which may be why we had a couple of issues that we did. We ordered our starters and they all came at a great time. Our mains then came except for one which would be coming “in a second” it arrived 10 minutes later. Not the worst thing in the world but obviously not great, the server did keep us updated throughout however.



After we had finished deserts (which were very nice) we where offered free shots I assume an apology for the forgotten main from earlier, we waited 10 minutes but no such shots appeared and as it was getting late we decided to give it up as a bad job.



I will say we had some good moments too, our server was great and made a real effort with my child. The food its self-was nice, not the biggest portions but still nice.



Mistakes happen but I hope they can be learned from as a couple of things have stopped this from being a place I’d refer to people due to nice food and helpful staff to a place I’d have reservations about recommending.

Our first visit a few weeks ago the chef had not turned in so we chose from a very limited menu, we thought we would give it another try but today i chose a chicken dish with a side of veg however was told that they were running short of veg and I was served chips instead! it was only just after midday! Don’t not think we will be returning even though the food was good, very disappointing service.

Food was absolutely delicious.. but the length of time we waited for our food to come was ridiculous. When our food eventually got to us.. an hour after ordering, my son still had to wait for his pizza for another 10minutes while we were all eating, I ended up sharing my main with him as he was so hungry after waiting so long! Our waiter was very polite and very apologetic, also took the price of our drinks off the bill as compo. I would have gave it 5* if this hadn’t of happened. Couldn’t fault the food in anyway tho �

Chicken was dry, greasy and had been reheated tea was like water I asked for stronger tea was given empty cup with tea bag in had some warm water in pot so used that but would have expected a fresh pot. Daughter had toasty again dry no flavour then had to wait nearly 15 mins for bill.
