Back again this year, after great feedback last year, and as part of the 2018 Jesmond Community Festival, we are hosting another Storytelling Open Mic Night!
Come and perform or just listen and enjoy tales of all types in various forms - be it a reading, a song, poetry, joke or drama - or bring your favourite book and tell us a story.
Suitable for all ages, and entry is free!

Wow!! Very warm and amazing atmosphere in there! First visit this morning (lovely coffee) and have literally just tasted the cake I brought home for my wife. She loved it too.

Liked it that much, I'm in tomorrow with her for our coffee date

What a lovely quaint find ever so small but beautiful cake / coffee & tea shop.



A capuccino and hot chocolate as wrll as lemon cake and large. Oreo cake.

Well what can I say?! Absolutely shamazing! Only stayed in the area 2 days and both days couldn't resist the pull of CakeStories! Cakes to die for and what made it even more special was the variety of gluten free food which my sis-in-law reveled in! � Cannot praise this place enough if you haven't yet been get yurself there! I for one will be back again and again and again!! Thankyou CakeStories for making my stay even more special! �

This is such a lovely place. The creme egg smash cake was the best chocolate cake I've ever had! I love the loose tea tea pots too, really nice and my family said the coffee was great too. Wish we lived closer to come all the time but will certainly visit whenever I'm in the area.

Really enjoyed lunch at Cake Stories - most enjoyable flat white coffee, satisfying quantity of salad leaves and delicious coleslaw with sandwich, relaxed vibe with excellent service - and having had a taste of the salted caramel brownie my friend got, I can recommend that as the most chocolatey brownie I've had for years (and the salted caramel was potentially addictive).

Nice little coffee shop in West Jesmond. Lovely food on offer and reasonably priced too.

Lovely mezzo, houmous was delicious. Cakes all freshly baked & made on the premises. So much choice & very yummy.

Just been to Cake Stories for the first time this afternoon and what a fabulous place , lovely staff and great service , comfortable seating and pretty decor, i had the most delicious salted caramel brownie ( the best ive tasted) and my hubby Phil had a Cranberry & Cinnamon scone with jam and butter which he said was delish � Great selection of drinks too � Thank you so much ...a lovely way to spend a Sunday Afternoon and we will be back soon xxx Lisa & Phil �
