Reconaissance day out today at Newcastleton Mart annual Blue Grey Heifer sale. This is where we'll be heading this time next year. A bit of a blast from the past, wooden mart building with a big open roof, wooden pens with grass floors, but a great day out , good craic and some lovely countryside
Storm Ali damage. A few logs to go at and still four trees to add to the pile .
Noisy night ahead with the generator. Power cables all safe now , trees coming down in the morn . Great response by Northern Power . On the other hand, Open Reach ......... beyond words !
Bit of a wild one today. Near miss for electrics , telephone and broadband, although if that second tree falls they're all a goner
