Cassini Films are delighted to announce that our latest short film Blood Steel has won an RTS Award. The writer, director and editor Tim Goodill gave a special thank you to the cast, crew and Kyle Heslop, the cinematographer. The film took a great amount of sacrifice to make under a very tight budget and schedule. The crew deserve a special thank you for their commitment to the project which essentially allowed us to produce such a high level of production values with the given budget and we look forward to working with them all again in the future.

The BFI have selected Blood Steel to screen at various Northern cinemas alongside some other selected shorts.
The next screening is in York this Monday at 7pm.

Today Blood Steel's sound mix is being crafted by George Mikrogiannakis. His film credits include "Magic Hour" by Costas Kapakas, "4 Black Suits" by Renos Charalampides "Man in the Sea" by Constantinos Yiannaris as well as award winning documentaries "Smyrna:The Destruction of a Cosmopolitan city" and "Exchange of populations"

Here is a teaser trailer from our latest short film, Blood Steel. It was shot entirely in the North East of England in Newcastle and Redcar. It has been a huge collaborative effort with support from many people. ITV and Moviebox productions supported the film and early cuts of the film have already created opportunities to develop the film. The producer and writer/director, Tim Goodill expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the cast and especially the crew who worked tirelessly on the film. He said: 'working with the musician, Lambert and the composer Jack Arnold was a great honour'

Very sad to hear of the passing of the composer Johann Johannsson. He was such an extraordinary composer and artist.

The story by Tim Goodill called the Sea Of Faith is currently under consideration with Julian Hicks at GSP Studios and Michael Chaplin is down to pen the screenplay. It is a story written by Tim Goodill where three souls take a journey of strength, discovery and acceptance that sees the human spirit tested to its limit.
