Just a reminder that Class 14's assembly will be this Friday at 9am.

Thank you to everyone who has kindly donated materials that will go towards our Opal Play Project. We really appreciate this and the children can’t wait to play with their new equipment. Thank you again.

Reminder : Friday 25th January is a non-uniform day! We ask that instead of the children bringing in a donation, could we have any materials that may no longer be of use e.g. suitcases, crates, kitchen pots, trays, buckets, fabric, keyboards, dress up items, scooters, dolls, figures, nets and ropes. Please see previous letter from your child for more ideas. Thank you in advance.

PPP (Positive Parenting Programme)
Willow Fields School are hosting a Positive Parenting Programme this Friday between 1:15-2:15 and for the subsequent two Fridays.
It is hosted by the Early Help team and they will provide guidance on issues such as parenting skills, resilient behaviours.

Derwent Hill : day 4 Mr Richard’s group have been mountain climbing all day! Miss Ni Chomhrai’s group have been down a mine this morning and then orienteering this afternoon. Mr Perrett’s group have been canoeing this morning and then stopped off to create a fire so they could enjoy hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows! This afternoon they have been down a mine and one child even held the moon! Mrs Ebdon’s group started on the Big Swing this morning and were all a littl...e bit nervous as they queued up. They then canoed to One Island this afternoon. Mrs Palmer’s group have also been down a lead mine this morning and gorge walking this afternoon which was freezing cold but brilliant!

Birthday celebrations!

A very special day at Derwent Hill! 🎂🎉

Derwent Hill: day 3 Mr Richard’s group have had a brilliant day gorge walking this morning and orienteering this afternoon. Mrs Ebdon’s group have climbed a mountain which was very windy at the top! Mr Perrett’s group have also climbed a mountain and enjoyed cake around Stone Circle in Keswick. Miss Ni Chromhrai have had a very wet day with canoeing this morning and gorge walking this afternoon! ... Mrs Palmer’s group have had an amazing day with the Big Swing this morning and then canoeing this afternoon. They even stopped off at Bird Poo island and enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate!

Derwent Hill : day 2. Mr Richard’s group tackled the Big Swing and all children completed the activity. He was very proud of the children! Mr Perrett’s group have had fun (and got very wet) whilst gorge walking today! Miss Ni Chomhrai's group succsssfully climbed to the top of Walla Crag and Brown How. They then collapsed with exhaustion at the top! Mrs Ebdon’s group have had a very busy day with orienteering this morning and gorge walking this afternoon!... Mrs Palmer’s group also climbed a mountain and enjoyed hot chocolate at the very top.

Derwent Hill: After a busy day, the children are all exhausted and tucked up safely in bed. We are looking forward to a full day of activities tomorrow. We will do our best to post a photo of each group again tomorrow evening.
