About Cict Open Learning Centre - North England
The CICT Open Learning Centre offers free courses in Computers, Numeracy, Literacy and Life and Work Skills.
Cict Open Learning Centre - North England Description
The Chinese Centre (North of England) is a registered charity (reg. no. 1093920) and its mission is to promote social inclusion, equality and diversity. The Chinese ICT Open Learning Centre was founded by the Chinese Centre and was officially opened on 2nd February 2003. The centre was supported by the New Opportunities fund, the European Social Fund, the Department of Education and Skills and Newcastle City Council and is currently funded by the University for Industry for delivering Learndirect, UKonline and Train to Gain.
Our mission is to encourage social inclusion, equality and diversity. Breaking through language and social barriers by means of new technology and helping learners regain confidence in learning is one of the aims of our current education & training service. A wide range of courses from basic level to advanced offer learners the opportunities to take their first step back into learning or to progress to higher education or employment opportunities. CICT is an equal opportunities provider. We endeavour to provide quality education in a welcoming, supportive community environment to facilitate successful learning.

- Important Note - It is important that you collect your certificates as soon as possible from the centre as we are only obliged to keep them over a certain period of time.
Our venue is located at the heart of Newcastle city centre and within easy reach of all transport links. Within just a 5 minute walk from our centre, you will find Newcastle Central Train, Station, St. James Stadium, and Newcastle's main shopping district.

Enjoy an unforgettable day in Cragside Victorian house, gardens and woodland near the town of Rothbury in Northumberland, England.
It is FREE for learners who have achieved a qualification in July 2018. For other C-ICT learners, it is £6 per person. Non C-ICT learners is £12 per person. (Normally it will cost around £25 per person for entrance fee and bus fare.) Seats are going fast! Only less than 15 seats left. Make sure you get a spot!
It's sometime nice to take a fun break from all the stressful things happening in the world around us and just indulge in a game of chess!
You're very welcome to come and join us for English conversation practice, discussions, games and learn new skills.
Twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday from 1pm to 3pm, a dedicated staff will run this program in a relaxed and friendly environment.
