Our second CISV Global Conference was the largest gathering of CISVers ever with 524 volunteers in attendance. The purpose of the event was to educate and inspire delegates to return to their Chapters with knowledge, tools, and ideas to encourage growth and development at the local level.

Since 1951, CISV has hosted 2,311 Villages worldwide!
CISV Villages are international camps that bring 11 years olds together to learn from each other and the world around them. The children come together from many different countries to take part in a variety of educational, cultural, and fun activities.
A big thank you to all the volunteers that have made these programmes possible over the past 68 years! #youmadeithappen

Together, CISV and @momondo are working to help bring down barriers, promote tolerance, and unite children and young people from around the world. This video was filmed at a Village in Sao Paulo which was sponsored by momondo. "Dear Mom and Dad" follows children as they live and play together and learn about each other. To help spread CISV's message beyond our programmes, momondo has created two free educational school activities. These were designed in partnership with CISV and are based on activities run in CISV camps to help children understand the importance of mutual tolerance and respect. These activities can be used in the classroom or at home and are available in eight different languages. You can download them here: http://bit.ly/2TjFs6w

Today is the International Day of Tolerance. CISV programmes promote tolerance and understanding of different cultures and attitudes, and encourage global friendship. Our partnership with momondo emerged from a mutual interest in creating more tolerance between people and cultures around the world. We share a vision of an open world, where differences are a source of inspiration, and where intercultural meetings between people create more understanding in the world.
