A gentle reminder to buy your bread from a real bread bakery. If only we could recommend somewhere 😉

We came for the first time on pizza night and we were met with a warm welcome, the pizza was absolutely delicious and the other two courses were equally as tasty, I really liked the chilled atmosphere and we can't wait to come back again.

User

This is the best coffee in town. Brilliant, lovely service. Excellent, interesting food. One of my favourite places to be.

User

The best eatery in the city. Unique food, top craic and great tunes.

User

The best cafe food in Durham, for non-vegetarians and vegetarians alike. The goat's cheese, lavender and honey is delicious and everything is pretty good value for such high quality. I wish I had discovered it earlier!

User

Sunday chess on the board provided with some fresh bread to take home! Perfect

User

Sourdough loaf, still warm from the oven - gorgeous!!

User

Not just the best cafe in Durham (without a doubt) but among the best in the North. By itself it's reason enough to come to Durham... The Cathedral is quite impressive too.

User

My favourite place to eat in Durham City, well worth the short walk up Claypath from the gala. Very friendly atmosphere and amazing staff always on hand to accommodate any needs.

The bread here is unique and so fresh, ready to be eaten with hummus or as a sandwich or to take home. Not to forget the homemade deserts that can't be resisted.

All the deli items, meats and cheeses, vegetarian and vegan options are interesting and tasty, sourced from around the world. The flavours combined in the deli sandwiches are truly fantastic!

My favourite: The grilled halloumi open sandwich!!

User

I had Claypath make some dishes for a pot-luck party and the food all went down a treat! The best was the hummous and pickled courgette. And the mozzarella balls. All very tasty and unique and fresh tasting. All vegetarian! I have to remember to come to you again! (already have plans with my PhD student to have a meeting there instead of the office!)

User

Great food, nice feel about this little gem of a place to eat in durham

User

Great coffee, food and atmosphere. Particularly love going to the live music gigs.

User

First time visitors for lunch. The food and drink were exceptional; high quality, fresh and great value for money. The attention to detail was noticeable and we will certainly be visiting again soon.

User

Fantastic coffee, lovely space run by people with heads on straight.

User

Best coffee in Durham by a long way. Great food too. Highly recommended.

User

Attended for a private function - food was so nice that I massively over ate. Now we know it is there we will be back!

User

Amazing food, great service, great atmosphere - staff were very welcoming and generous for my birthday lunch. Definitely will be back, and thoroughly recommend trying the goat cheese, honey, and almond panini!

User

Absolutely delicious bread, loved by all. Proudly served and devoured at the Durham Uni French Society’s wine and cheese evening
