The Benedictine Social Centre, NE23 6YA​. We meet every Wednesday, starting at 7.30 pm. ... There are guest performers every other week and singers nights in between. It's quite common to have as many as twelve to fourteen acts on singers nights! We have always provided a wide variety of music and styles from traditional and contemporary folk to blues and bluegrass. If you are in the area please drop in, you may be pleasantly surprised. Everyone is welcome, whether to perform or just to enjoy the music and have a drink. Singers wishing to perform should make sure their name is on the list by 8pm at the latest. We are proud to be known as one of the friendliest clubs in the Country.

Very entertaining night with Sloan Wainwright and Brooks Williams. Plenty to join in with... Lovely harmonies with very strong voices blending beautifully, amazing guitar playing from Brooks to enhance the lovely songs... and a very moving song from Sloan played on ukulele... great night...
