About Craufurdland Fishery
Beautiful sheltered Trout Fishery, stocked with Rainbows, Brownies, Blues and Tigers. Tackle and fly tying equipment for sale, with a lovely waterside cafe and the Lairds Table restaurant providing excellent food with a lovely view.
Craufurdland Fishery Description
Craufurdland Fisheries is set on the Craufurdland Lochan, on the Craufurdland Estate, just outside Fenwick, Ayrshire. The fishery is stocked with rainbow, brown and blue trout. Fishing is available from the bank or on one of the boats on the lochan. There are facilities which include refreshments, tackle for sale and tuition, all run by Craufurdland Estate, with brothers Alex and Simon Craufurd taking a keen interest in the future development and improvement of the fishery.
£22 for 8 hours – 4 fish
£19 for 6 hours – 3 fish

Another beautiful day here at sunny Craufurdland, with fish rising all over. Very little wind so just a light ripple on the water, with dries and buzzers doing the business. Tight lines

What a week it has been on the Lochan. Windy weather always plays a part but the fishing has been great.
Last Saturday saw R. Dignam catch his personal best of 24 trout in a windy session catching on a range of lines and flies from floater to Di3.
Sunday saw a great catch return with most anglers catching from 2-6 fish in similar conditions to Saturday.
... Campbell Cree set the bar high for top rod in Monday with 19 to the net. Joey O'Neil was next with 8 and Buzzer Bob landed 6 on a size 16 Black CDC.
Buzzer Bob upped his game on Tuesday getting 11 on the dry, same fly as the day before. Alan P returned 7 on the green meanie.
Wednesday saw 12 landed by K Mccafferty, 7 by C Reilly, and Alan P on 6. Buzzer Bob took it easy landing 5 to the net. Jim Annall landed a spectacular brown trout in double figures.
Buzzer Bob again showed his skill landing 14. M Stevenson landed 6 and G Morton landed 3. Our early bird Chris Trundle managed 7 to the net, on a mix of naturals and dries.
Friday saw J. Craig landing 11, Alan P with 7 and Tom C with 9.
Today we have a few anglers on the water from Vesuvius fishing club, who are hitting the water running. Tom McNaughton caught a lovely 7lb rainbow on his 3rd cast, returned safely to the water and H McLeod caught a stunning big brown trout weighing in at 10lbs.

Beautiful 9lb!!!! Browny added to the lochan today with our stocking from River Doon Trout. Dry flies and hothead damsels doing the business with buzzers as well. Tight lines
A massive happy birthday to Buzzer Bob, turning 80 today and who also caught 12 on the size 16 Black Magic.

Well done to Sean McFadyen catching this lovely rainbow yesterday on the Lochan. A changing day where fish were rising but taking little off the top. This was one of 5 Sean caught yesterday, dropping as many as he caught and countless nips and pulls.

Apologies for the short video for the first part of the stocking. The internet cut out and killed the live feed.
Water pretty much back to normal with just odd patches of rapidly melting ice. Expecting to be 100% thawed by tomorrow. Just in time for our TRIPLE STOCKING landing tomorrow.
