We love this site, 3rd visit. The owners are friends and flexible. It’s a working farm so expect to be on the farm, facilities are basic but just what you would need. Shops and pubs close by but not too near to impact the peace and quiet. Beautiful walks. We will be back

We left this morning after 2 day stay in our tent. Site was loverly. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Not over crowded. The farmer was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place as either a base camp or just somewhere to chill in the sun n listen to the animals.

User

This place is lovely no complaints at all, also got to see some lambs lovely surroundings. Cant wait to go back

User

Super site close to village centre just lovely and we plan to return.

Myself and kids been four times now over the years. Great quiet campsite. Lovely clean showers. Very friendly farmer. Lovely distance to local village and walks. Definitely return next year.

User

Lovely site so enjoyed our week facilities always clean will definitely return sometime. Such a great village plenty of places to see and things to do nearby. The cheviot does a good pint(so my husband says) and there fish and chips I would definitely recommend.

User

Lovely campsite, small & quaint, but just what we wanted. Loads of space for your tent, clean facilities, & a really friendly site. In the village which is great, & lovely pub The Cheviot, definitely worth a visit. Would definitely be returnnng.

User

Just spent five nights camping here and had a great time, definitely going on the list of places to return to!

User

Just had another great stay this weekend. Back for August Bank holiday, but hoping for another stay before then. Margaret and Robert are a lovely couple who keep the site lovely and clean.

User

Its a wonderful place .

A real working farm with sheep poultry etc , beautiful open field to camp on but still close enough to local shops and pubs . We plan to go back this summer .

User

I love this campsite, went their with my family since i was little and alot has changed over the years like the bunkhouses and the field being extended, Best time to come up is at the end of august as theirs a show on what has allsorts to do. Their has toilets on campsite with water aswell, great place to stay for a weekend break.

User

I love the place and the village very friendly people lovely area

User

Great site. Functional and well kept. Situated close to all the village amenities. Looking forward to returning soon.

Caravan Pitch, electric hook up.. Peaceful and tranquil. Good clean washing, showers and toilets facilities. It was great to be able to park up and have shop amenities only a short walk.

It is a working farm so bare that in mind if you aren't use to the noise of sheep being rounded up. And hyperactive sheep dogs barking eagerly to get to work.

A very popular stop off point for those walking the Pennine Way. And to explore areas of Hadrian's Wall.

By sheer coincidence we found Demesne Farm at Billingham.

(Another campsite which was full and water-logged at the time, pointed us in Demesne's direction). Our good fortune!

Off the beaten track yet in the center of a village, the camp-sight and bunk-house farm had all the "basic" facilities we needed.

Many thanks to Farmer Robert and his wife for offering the chance of a relaxing and pleasant stay. Loved the sound of the bleating sheep. Knew I was truly in the country...

User

Being going there for 26 years and still love the site and the people that own it.

#Toogood4words and #verywelcoming

It's a great site and right in the village too, short walk to shops and the Rose&Crown is worth a visit #wheresthecoughingsheep?

User

I stayed in the bunkhouse , which is much more upmarket than I usually do. But really nice .Very clean .everything worked perfectly there. The only thing that was missing from the kitchen was a pair of oven gloves. . Yep a lovely place !!!

User

Had a great weekend here. We loved that it's such a chilled out, quiet site. Great location too, feels like you're in the middle of nowhere but just a 2 min walk into the village. Only thing that could be improved is the shower and loo block - could definitely do with a re-fit! On the whole though, a great little site and we'd definitely return
