Worked with the crew in whitworth for 5 days had a ball and they were really helpful with my disability had a fantastic time!

Truly inspirational people. Welcoming, warm and very entertaining. Cannot wait to spend more time with DV's.

Thank you for a fab week last week, couldn't fault you. Will 100% return for some more ventures :D

Join the Fun digging holes in History ! From getting lost in caves, past dwellings to Island digging up lost Vikings or even Monks !

I only spent 3 days working with these guys, but what an amazing 3 days they were. I'd always wanted to "have a go" at archaeology (I'm hooked now!) and the team from Dig ventures allowed, and positively encouraged me to get involved in everything! It wasn't just doing the groundwork of digging and cleaning the trenches, but they got me recording and making up post excavation drawings. It really was a great introduction to the world of archaeology for a first timer. Nothing was too much trouble for the guys in the team and they were always happy to answer any questions, no matter how silly those questions might have been! It wasn't all work and no play either. we had a great laugh and I came away after day 3 feeling that I'd made some good friendships and that I want to do more archaeology! I'm going to enrol on the 6 week online course. If you've never tried archaeology before and want to have a go, then find a Dig Ventures project near you and get involved! Didn't get a t-shirt though! :( :D

I haven't been lucky enough to go on one of your Digventures, but I congratulate you on a wonderful concept. Next time I'm in the UK, I'll attempt to participate. Wonderful

Had a really fantastic weekend on the Lindisfarne Dig. The team are very friendly, give you hands on training, and you get to actually take part in the Archaeology. Learned so much, and highly recommended to anyone with an interest in the subject. Can't wait till the next Dig in August!

Great to see the general public having a chance to get involved in archaeology. Hope to learn more myself.

Go. Just Go. Our whole family had a blast. We loved it so much we just couldn't leave and signed up for a second week on the spot. These folks are professional and fun and their projects exciting. You will love being a part of the team (and you'll get a cool t-shirt too).

Anyone interested in archaeology should be following and supporting Dig Ventures. I've done a couple of their trips and thoroughly enjoyed them both.
