Doulos Description
SERVANT LEADERSHIP
Doulos is about learning to lead like Jesus did- by serving other people. This is backwards to the world’s idea of leadership, which is about setting yourself above others. The verse we focus on is Matthew 20: 28, which says ‘the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. ’
EXPERIENCE
People learn differently, which is why we create experiences to explore the Doulos concepts in different ways. Whether it’s climbing a hill to look out over Teesside and talk about vision, or having a Q & A session with today’s inspiring leaders, we want to help you learn to lead by doing things that are exciting!
GROWTH
A huge part of being an effective leader is having a close relationship with God. We want to help you grow deeper in your faith, which is why we encourage Doulos participants to meet regularly with a mentor as part of the course. We also provide you with weekly devotionals related to each Doulos theme.
MISSION
Getting involved with mission is a great way to grow as a Christian and learn how to serve others. Doulos gives young people the chance to engage with mission projects both locally and abroad. We currently partner with the 58 Foundation in Dallas, Texas, who reach out into some of the city’s poorest communities.
