Went here last week for food and drinks and couldnt fault it. Food was lovely. Staff were very friendly and the service was fantastic. Very welcoming pub and family orientated too. Will be returning. Thank you.

We havnt eaten here for ages because we had a few bad meals a month or so ago . We went last night as they have a new chef and it was really nice well cooked well presented and as always the staff went above and beyond.

This used to be my local before I moved away. Constantly here when I have time off. I love the atmosphere, bar staff (especially Craig) and events on during the week. Food is great and alcohol prices are reasonable! It’s my home away from home

Friendly, helpful staff with a canny vegan menu. Finally a place where both me and my daughter can eat without her just having chips. �

They make my dinner up on an almost daily basis aswel as the other lads and it's spot on every time. How many pubs do you know that will plate up 5 meals and trust you with the plates? (Not many in this day and age I can tell you). Management are fantastic very welcoming and will do there upmost to accommodate your needs and make sure your happy. Anyone passing here should definitely pop in and say hello, oh and try the food as it's tremendous � Grace if your reading this thanks for everything and sorry for the dishes we keep handing back to you lol.

Came here tonight with the family for my son's 18th birthday meal and can't fault the place. The new staff are fantastic. They were a pleasure to talk to and knew their stuff! Craig and Grace were so lovely amd attentive.The food was spot on and we didn't have to wait ages. Whoever cooked the steak cooked it to perfection! We will definitely be back.

Been a couple of times for food or a quiet few, big portions & really good value for money, very welcoming with a friendly atmosphere, top marks to the staff & manager Jamie, always makes sure you're happy & the kids are entertained. Couldn't recommend enough �

And amazing pub, with a great vibrant atmosphere. Helpful staff and lovely beer.

A vegan menu!! Hooray to that! Choice of starters, mains and puds; I haven't tried them all yet, but I certainly will be! And the vegan food I did have was lovely. Pleased my local pub is now on board with this! �

I visited the duke last night for some food with a friend... I ordered Scampi and Chips with extra extra scampi. The place was pretty busy, and was expecting my food to take sometime, however the food was delivered to my table fast. When I was ordering my food, the barman Craig was very funny and made me and my friend feel very welcomed. I asked Craig to pass on my thanks to the chief who cooked the food as it tasted great. The only down side was the quiz, although it was very enjoyable and challenging, the questions were abit too hard for a pub quiz. Overall the service was great and I felt that both Craig and Grace done a wonderful job tending to our needs.

Food not the best! Burgers far too dry! Beer spot on though!

Food was a bit disappointing, been here lots of times over the years but standards have dropped. It may be a while before I visit again x

So my mates and I are sitting in the duke and have been here for a while having a good time spending money and during the bingo the manager comes over tells us to shut up or move seats! Been sitting in the same place all day why can't he have told us earlier or have the seats reserved for the bingo??

All the other staff are nice especially Grace, Nicole and Connor!! Not the manager

I will never return here for food again!

After meeting up with friends yesterday we Sat while his son had his tea. After he finished we all thought we would treat the boy to the massive ice cream challenge.

The ice cream finally arrived and looked excellent...

It was only after he ate the 4-5 pofitaroles he complained saying it was awfull...

The rest of the group decided to tuck into the rest only to find it was disgusting the waffles where really stale tasteless like they had been cooked for weeks!!

We decided to tell a member of staff who also agreed it was very poor so he took it away and offered a refund we waited 30 minutes and heard nothing back so we asked what was happening..... then we where approached by a member of staff known as (Grace)

Only to be told that we where liers!!!😠😠😠😠

She stood and told us we would not be receiving a refund as we had been eating it and the pofitaroles had been eating!!!! The attitude was disgusting how dare (grace) stand there and basically call me a liar.. . The food was disgusting there was 5 of us in our company and another member of staff who all agreed !

There was never an apology giving and we left as we were outraged by her response to our complaint!! After being a local here for many years and the money me and my family/friends spend in the duke of Wellington find this attitude disgusting it is no way to talk to a paying customer in front of company

Brilliant customer service I can't fault that, but the food was extremely poor a inedible steak that was all fat and gristle and then charged £5 for a singular rib to top the steak because the chef was inexperienced apparently, brilliant customer service and a refund for the poor quality food but would not recommend eating here, you don't expect to visit a food establishment hungry and leave hungry and frustrated !!
