Today while at Willington Pub Watch we found out that the licensee of Spectrum Community Leisure Centre is promoting the time to talk day. They hold a free CREE Men Only Socialisation Group every Friday from 13:00 - 15:00

Due to recent alcohol related anti social behaviour in the Stanley area, Officers from Durham Constabularies Harm Reduction Unit and Durham County Council Trading Standards have carried out a number of test purchases on Off Licences in the area.
As a result of these test purchases two £90 fines have been issued to persons selling alcohol to underage youths, more fines will be issued in the coming weeks.

Over the Weekend officers from the department carried out a joint operation with Durham County Council and immigration.
A number of premises were visited with one of the premises having an illegal worker working in the store. The owner of the store will now face a civil penalty

The theme for Pub Watch theme of the month is mental health awareness. We are raising awareness for the time to talk day on the 07/02/19. We are giving posters to all of the premises that attend the Pub Watch's this month. Today Willington Pub Watch were in support of the campaign.
