Creating athletes is great BUT creating strong confident good young people is 10000 times more rewarding. Two prime examples right here tonight. Both young chaps at different parts of Martial Arts Career but both making huge steps. . Top picture Charlie one of my Black Belts, World Champion, Junior Assistant Instructor. Recently designed and delivered a class to the junior class. Well today he showed up with a class plan for the Lil Dragons class and delivered to that class a...n exceptional class where all the kids had a blast. . The bottom picture a relatively new student Ryan just starting his path white belt in rank but black belt in attitude. You will be lucky to hear a word from Ryan during class hes so quiet. When I asked who wanted to take the stretching for his class out snook a lil hand at waist height. He stood 10 foot tall and delivered the dynamic stretching part of our warm up to his peers most of whom are older and higher in rank. I was blown away very impressed. . In this day and age the fear of ridicule for saying something wrong or doing something wrong is at an all time high. Kids are in a constant state of Anxiety yet EMWBBA kids are standing tall proud and confident. . Getting the juniors to take the stretching at the start for their class is such a great thing to see. You see the confidence build, you see rapport between peers form, you see the respect, the self belief the pride.

2 upcoming competitions put into the student group
I can't emphasize the importance of new ones trying competition while they have the chance of getting into novice categories.
Novice is under 9 months #TRAINING in the upcoming comp.(some are 12 months)
... That's 9 months of classes not 9 months of competing.
EMWBBA always go with integrity and place our competitors in the right category's. So if you wait "until your good enough" you will be in tougher categories. Get the XP at your current level and grow. You're good enough to compete the moment you step on the matts

#Repost from GDC Fitness ... Working with the East Meets West Black Belt Academy lot today. We took some simple techniques "slips", "hooks" and "crosses" then built a flowing drill out of it. . . Rough cut video after using building blocks to piece it together. We had a hall full of people including beginners who smashed it. .
