Eio Smartcard Description
The business was developed after my Mother was admitted to University Hospital Durhaml. She was extremely ill and remained in hospital for 5 weeks. During visiting times, I noticed that a lot of patients being admitted had difficulty remembering their prescriptions, allergies phone numbers etc when asked by staff, often many found it difficult to communicate at all.
My mother had 13 different types of medication on her prescription, I thought that a way of storing this information could be useful especially if the information could be easily recalled in future visits to the hospital or when required. And so the EIO Smartcard was developed.
