3 more things you may not know about CBD...
In the UK, CBD oil is classified as a medicine.
CBD oil has been available in the UK as a “nutritional supplement” for quite awhile, but recently it has been reclassified as a “medicine.” This means that the British government has begun to formally recognize CBD’s many health benefits, a significant fact considering recreational cannabis is still illegal. It also means that CBD will likely be put through the same rigorous tests and ...trials as other medicines.
CBD blocks the addictive effect of other drugs.
In a 2013 study done on rats, scientists found that CBD can successfully block the addictive effects of highly addictive painkillers such as morphine. Specifically, CBD reduced the pleasure of morphine, making it seem like less of a reward.
Thus, CBD could be a promising solution to the Opioid Crisis
Recent research published by “Substance Abuse: Research and Treatment” reported that states that have implemented medical marijuana programs have already seen a 25% drop in deaths by opioid overdose. Furthermore, pain patients using medical cannabis (which by nature is high in CBD) used 64% fewer opioid painkillers than those for whom a medical marijuana program was not available.

Question 13 Asked by Keith Q. Is CBD addictive?
A. In a nutshell...no. Cannabinoid compounds like THC and CBD are chemicals that insert themselves into special receptors in the body's cells and tissues. These receptors called CB1 and CB2 make up part of a vast network of neurotransmitters known as the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which helps regulate bodily functions including temperature, appetite and digestion, sleep, memory, mood, pain, and pleasure.
... "Most cannabinoids, including THC found in marijuana affect the CB1 (brain) and CB2 (immune system) receptors, producing a high. Although CBD is one of the cannabinoids found in marijuana, it does not deliver a high and is not addictive because it does not affect the CB1 or CB2 receptors," explained Dr. Cidambi. Min An, a licenced pharmacist, added that "our body naturally produces CBD in the ECS to maintain balance when we encounter stress." In short, An said, "we can't become addicted to our own body's naturally produced compound."
Actually, on the contrary, several studies have reported that CBD has anti-addictive properties, which may be effective in helping individuals wean off drugs like marijuana, alcohol, cocaine, or heroin, added An. "CBD doesn't cause dependence or tolerance and is a great holistic alternative for those trying to stay away from real addictions," she explained.
To make you feel even better, The World Health Organisation's (WHO) Expert Committee on Drug Dependence (ECDD) recently concluded that CBD is non-addictive, has no withdrawal symptoms, and is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile. In fact, they determined that it was time to remove CBD from international drug control and that it exhibits no potential for abuse or dependence.

3 more facts about CBD you may not know
Hemp plants and cannabis plants for medical use are the two best sources for CBD.
CBD, like THC, is a cannabinoid, and its amount varies from plant to plant. Cannabis plants meant for recreational use tend to have more THC than CBD. Alternatively, industrial hemp plants and cannabis plants intended for medical use are both very low in THC, but high in CBD.
... The first recorded medicinal use of hemp occurred around 2700 B.C.
Hemp, along with its seeds and oils, has been used for more than 10,000 years for various purposes. As one of the first plants to be domesticated, hemp was used to make clothing, rope, paper, and shoes, while its seeds and oils were used as food and medicines.
Even Queen Victoria used CBD.
In the 19th century, Queen Victoria of England used CBD-rich cannabis to alleviate menstrual cramps.

Question 14, asked by Paul.
Q. Does CBD get you high? A. CBD is an entirely different compound from THC, and its effects are very complex. It is not psychoactive, meaning it does not produce a "high" or change a person's state of mind, but it influences the body to use its own endocannabinoids more effectively. According to one study posted to Neurotherapeutics, this is because CBD itself does very little to the ECS. Instead, it activates or inhibits other compounds in the en...docannabinoid system. For example, CBD stops the body from absorbing anandamide, a compound associated with regulating pain. So, increased levels of anandamide in the bloodstream may reduce the amount of pain a person feels. Cannabidiol may also limit inflammation in the brain and nervous system, which may benefit people experiencing pain, insomnia, and certain immune-system responses.

Happy 🐶 owner
My poor 9 year old Staffordshire bull terrier was suffering with arthritic legs and generally lethargic. He couldn’t jump onto bed where he has slept since being a puppy. He would even hide when we got his lead out. CBD oil arrives...Blue has 3 drops....that night he dives on the bed no probs, a month on he is so well and loves going out for walks! The CBD oil worked immediately for Blue. He is now on his second bottle and looks forward to his 3 drops every morning x
