6 SUSTAINABLE TIPS FOR A HEALTHY DIET FOR JANUARY & BEYOND
1. Whatever your weight goal - focus on calories.
... 2. Eat your veg - no body ever got fat eating too much broccoli.
3. Try not to drink your calories - especially 'healthy' smoothies or meal replacement shakes.
4. Any food can fit your diet, dont deprive yourself (but be sensible) A diet will only work if it is sustainable long term.
5. Use an app such as MyFitnessPal to track your calories.
6. If you have an off day, dont beat yourself up. Put it behind you and get straight back on track.

To say I'm proud of the missus @tracey_mrsdavo today is an understatement. She's had two goals to hit within the last week and she's nailed them both. Last weekend she was a bridesmaid for the first time and wanted to look her best in her dress & she did!! Today she completed her second #greatnorthrun @great_run raising a lot of money for charity in the process. From a professional point of view, I was thrilled to have been able to help her with her training, setting out a st...ructured plan over the last 8 weeks. Tracey has been working hard in the gym both on her weight training and in the group HIIT sessions. Goal setting and a positive mindset really worked for us this time round. She dropped at least two dress sizes and at least a stone in weight. Chest & shoulder pump sesh with Simon tonight. Inspired by @bobbymaximus #dailyworkout. Si’s usual training partner Bob is injured so I jumped in on the fun with this one. Part 1: Dumbbell Push Press 30/30s. 2x (30sec work/30sec “Rest”) Push press. “Rest” is in overhead position. The exercise is 2 total minutes. Essentially the exercise looks like 30 seconds of Push press followed by 30 seconds of overhead holding followed again by 30 seconds of pressing and then ending with a 30 second hold. Part 2: 10-1 Bench press Hell Ladder. 40kg on a bar, bench press 10 times and then hold in lock out position for 10 seconds. Then do 9 bench presses and then hold in lockout position for 10 seconds. Follow this pattern until you are at 1 rep. Rest while your partner goes then repeat in reverse 1-10. This got spicy very quickly!! 🌶

It’s true that you’re a product of your environment. Moving Focus Fitness to The Fitness Rooms 18 months ago was the best decision I could have made. The atmosphere & equipment is second to none, as a result of this, my clients and our members are making awesome progress.
