Funny Way to Be Comedy brings new, exciting, top comedians to the Teesdale area in the North East of England!
Based in Barnard Castle (at The Witham venue) the club has, for the last 8 years, brought some of the UK's best to the small rural town.
Acts have included John Bishop, Russell Howard, Mark Watson, Jason Cook, Chris Ramsey, Jo Caulfield, Phil Cool, Omid Djalili and many more.

Tickets for our next show (Gary Delaney on Sat 18 Sept) are almost sold out. We do have tickets for our following show just over a week later with the Voice of Love Island, Iain Stirling on Tuesday 18th Sept. It's a 14+ show so the younger fans of Love Island can join in the fun. Tickets only £16.50. The show is at The Witham in Barnard Castle.
Great fun was had at the final show of our Summer 2018 season in the extremely capable hands of Gyles Brandreth as he prepared for his Edinburgh Festival run in August. 250 people packed into the Witham for a night to remember.

amazing to see John Bishop in Barnard Castle and soooooo cheaply. Well done The Witham - you've done the area proud. John Bishop was relaxed,on top form and very funny - equal to our expectations. And had done enough homework about the area for us to really appreciate his act and make us laugh out loud lots. One of his main skills is the way he builds rapport with the audience and his ability to fire very funny answers back to questions and quips - warm, funny and totally engaged with the audience - great! Organisation and communication of this comedy club is second to none. Professional set up, quality well known acts as well as up and coming comedians at affordable prices in intimate venues. We make a 100 mile round trip to visit regularly such is the high standard! �
Great night in a super friendly venue - John Bishop was hilarious and to get a performer of his standard in our small town is a real coup - thanks to all concerned in bringing him to Barney!
