Wallsend and more importantly Sonny. I arrived at 10.50pm and he turned everything back on to make my order, stayed late cooking it and then tried to push and jump start my car and when that failed he went and found a friend and came back with jump leads to rescue me! My belief in the human race has been restored. Thank you so much again sonny and your staff! Xxx

Picked up my £20 free meal today & was blown away how amazing the food was! It was delicious & definitely come back & recommend to anyone. Staff were very friendly & welcoming also!

I won the £20 Easter deal for 4 on Monday great variety of food and all the family enjoyed there food thank you very much we will defiantly be coming back

I won the meal deal from Gills. Last night we went to the shop on Leam Lane.

The shop has recently been refitted and it looks amazing. It is bright and sparkling clean. The staff were very helpful.

Our fish and chips were amazing,,but they always are from here. They sell amazing Pizza as well. We did have cheese dippers that will be bought again.

Haven't even been to the shop but I've just spoke to someone on the phone and was the most polite women ever! Already made my mind up about the place

Great portions sizes, friendly staff and not too long a waiting time makes this the ideal place to combat your hunger craving. All food is really tasty too so satisfaction all the way ;)

The food is excellent as is the service.

Waited over an hour for a pizza to be delivered and it was stone cold on arrival. I live local and would normally collect but was unable to on this occasion. Nice Pizza shame it was cold.

Used to love chips from here got some tonight n I wouldn't even give them to my dog. lost my custom now I won't be ordering again. leam lane gills

Waited 2 hours 50 mins for 2 fish n chips. Only for the order to be missing food. Ring shop to say come collect your food and put money back into my bank! Only to listen to attitude down the phone cos they were busy. Phone then got put down without my Name or bank details taken. As a manager myself there would be no way on this earth is ever speak to a customer (who in reality Pays their wage) the way she did! Foaming doesn't even come close!!

Very disappointed with Gills in Wallsend - ordered a takeaway on Saturday night - came with the wrong order - cold and nearly all salad. Have rang three times since about the order and although they promised to ring back, Im still waiting. Ordered from there plenty of times but very poor service this time.

Used this shop for 30 yrs ordered today absolutely disgusting went in bin phoned up they give us another fish and chips were also disgusting may as well flushed the money down the lavvy never will i go there again

The manger or owner has attitude .

When ever we go it is never the same price .

I had to go in tonight and take or oreder back the portions size was very small and cold . X

Ponteland shop: Bought a lunchtime meal deal - kebab meat and chips and can of pop - for £4.30. Was absolutely disgusted at the size of the portion. There wasn't even enough there to fill a child. Certainly won't be getting that again!!

Meresyde gills is nice if you can get to shop but never ever getting delivery off them again.. If I hadn't paid by card.. I'd tell them to keep there delivery.. You think after 1hour 45 mins of waiting for my delivery you think they could sent free chips or something... Foaming

Bought chip butty with a sausage and a small curry sauce. Everything was stone cold. Returned to shop for a refund. Not the first time this has happened but definitely the last as I won't be returning. I could have walked back to ponteland from Dhillons (throckley) and the food would have been warmer!! My replacement frozen pizza seems far more appealing!!

Bought 2 bags of chips @at 8 pm last night and they were absolutely disgusting they looked like either yesterday thay had been mixed in they were black soggy and smelt rank they should not be able to sell stuff like that will never b goin again too pic to show people
