This place is the best place I've ever ate!! The staff are the friendliest ever and always meet your hungry needs! I recommend this shop to everyone I know! Tremendous service and food! Huge 5 stars to gills :)

My first stop whenever I arrive in South Shields. Excellent food, staff always cheery and helpful. Highly recommended.

Tried gills for the first time tonight me and my family all got the same kebab chips and salad.. kebab was dry and bland couldn't eat without covering it up with loads of sauces, salad wasn't even salad it was all cabbage and onions & over all the whole order smelt a bit rank

very poor customer service tonight

after recieving a nanbab last week with the meat seperated cos i dont lile kebab meat. came back in for 1 tonight and my partner was told it was not possible to seperate the meat. very strange. 1 very unhappy disappointed angry ex customer �

Where do I start the food is great mostly faultless warm, tasty etc. However the customer service is disgusting past three order have been said estimated delivery 1 hour pretty standard for most places however that’s never been the case 2 hours at least and had to ring to be told well I don’t know when driver is out but your foods cooked and then silence from the person on phone then to be offered a bottle of pop, no thanks

When you open the white paper for your pie and chips and get it still in the silver foil and cellophane packet from peters! What a joke

Went to chichester shop - £10 for tray kebab meat, chips, carton garlic and can pop day light robbery I will never go back far too expensive compared to other local chippys which are just as nice if not better!

Was a total joke order was wrong pizza was a giant slop what a total waste of money only decent thing was me can of coke won’t be ordering from here again !!!!!!!!!�������

Waited 2 1/2 hours tonight for pizza. After 2 hours I rang asking where it was and was told its on its way,but when the driver turned up 30 minutes later said I've just left the shop so blatant lies, we offered £10 instead of £14.40 and were refused in a restaurant after an hour you can refuse to pay the full price. Obviously years of loyalty means nothing to this lot change of takeaway from now on!!

Staff are very rude and ignorant... doesnt matter what you say or do they will be rude to you.

Service was shocking and so rude and fish and chips were rotten too batter very thick and not cooked proper ly would never go back again

Just ordered chicken kebab from here. The chicken was clay cold and came with no chilli or garlic sauce so was bone dry. Phone back up and was told you have to ask for sauce yet on the menu it states that it comes with chilli or garlic. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I went to the new crispy chicken on stanhope road, lovely! Gorgeous pizzas, warm welcome and not confronted by an angry old lady! but i swear ill never go back, and at least with crispy chicken It wont cost me my phone! Ludicrous.

Foods always nice but to be called a liar when they send the wrong order out! What a joke! What happened to “the customer is always right”?

Chips were horrible staff was rude and all went in the bin never going back
