OPENS TODAY SO WHY NOT POP DOWN AND HAVE A LOOK. ITS GOING TO BE FAB FOR THE KIDS. ⛱⛱🌞🌞 The leisure park will feature a children’s water play area including ground geysers, water tunnels, jet streams and a fountain spray. There will also be children’s play equipment and picnic tables and – echoing Seaton’s heritage as a seaside resort - beach huts. In addition, a new four metre high glass and steel sculpture by Hartlepool artist Stuart Langley called ‘Waves’, reflecting the town’s maritime and industrial heritage, will be installed on the prom near Seaton Reach.

What an absolutely gorgeous place, can’t thank u enough for yesterday celebrating my friends baby shower. The place is just gorgeous, the food amazing and the staff all so happy and helpful. It was a wonderful afternoon thank you!

User

We visited early on a Sunday morning (9.15am) and could easily get a table for two. Service is excellent from a lovely waitress. Would thoroughly recommend a visit and you must visit the toilet to see how it is decorated 🇬🇧

User

We paid a visit to glady's today and were very impressed. We were seated almost straight away, the service was great and the food amazing. My three year old is a fussy eater and opted for fish fingers, chips and beans. He cleared his plate and asked for more, the fish finger was plentiful and the home made chips delicious. We opted for parmos and weren't disappointed, they were really tasty! We'll be back again

User

We had afternoon tea for 8 people and it was delicious even gave us a sample of their home made chips which were devine,

ran by lovely people who were happy for us to take our own birthday cake for ours mams 60th and happy to take group photies for us

Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back to try the rest of their food

Loved loved loved it! Had afternoon tea yesterday for my Mams birthday & it was just amazing! Perfect surroundings & ambience taking you back in time with everything, the music, the decor, just wonderful! Will certainly be visiting again, fabulous service, warm & very friendly, we arrived much earlier than our booking & were immediately accomodated without any trouble at all, just those little things make this place an amazing little gem, just lovely! Certainly made my Mams day & my sister, Lynnette, who lived in Seaton Carew many years ago when she was at college, thank you all so much xxx

User

It was my first time today and I can’t believe it has taken me so long to try Glady’s

Loved the feel to the place, staff lovely, food lovely and plenty for the price and the toilet WOW strange to say this but I could have stayed in there haha

If you have not tried it , you must

A perfect way to step back in time xx

User

I've been here 3 times so far. Each time the service has been friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is a nice homely feel, exactly what you want from a tea room. Finally, the scones there are delicious, I had the pleasure of having one that was fresh out of the oven and I have never tasted a scone as good. Would highly recommend to anyone in the Seaton area. If I could give more than 5 stars then I would.

User

I won the Gladys competition on April 29th which completely made my day as it was my birthday too ! Even better when I found out that I had won a 10oz steak with all the trimmings for two people , two desserts and a bottle of beer and glass of wine This prize was perfect as my husband was working away on my birthday meaning we could use it to celebrate when he got home .

We went into Glady’s on Friday the 11th of may for lunch with our little boy .

The staff could not of been more inviting and help to entertain our little boy by grabbing him a toy to play with .

The food was simply amazing , has to be one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. Even very impressed with the kids meals !

We will definitely be back as the food is gorgeous and the most important part is the ladies working made us feel so welcome and were so friendly to meet .

Recommend to anyone considering going in . We have been meaning to try for a long time and now we have we will definitely be back .

Thank you so much for picking me as the winner . You really did make my birthday . Can’t wait to come in again soon !

User

I love Gladys vintage tea rooms, the staff are so friendly & welcoming, there's always such a lovely atmosphere and the food is second to none and such amazing value. It's well worth the trip from Stockton. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this fabulous place it gets a 10++ from me every time. Keep up the good work ladies.

User

Had a lovely breakfast this morning. My little boy loves his too and also got some toys to play with which made it breakfast easier :-) lovely staff will be back! X

User

Had a lovely afternoon tea for Fathers day. 14 of us accomodated for, fantastic food, lots of choice, atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.

User

For a great treat for Nana it was lovely to be in here today. Considering we arrived half an hour before closing we got a lovely welcome. Waitress was delightful and the effort to keep everything to the theme adds atmosphere. Just good to have something a bit different. Thank you

User

Fab afternoon tea for my cousins baby shower, delicious food, lovely friendly staff, great decor, would def recommend x oh and the G&T went down a treat x

User

Went to afternoon tea today a little disappointed firstly we had to ask for a strainer for our tea after getting a cup of leaves then had to ask for milk (tea almost cold now ) only 3 types of sandwiches and only a tiny one of each for each of us very poor sandwiches with no choice given. cream for scones not good quality and not clotted cream also only one small pot of cream and jam between four of us . The cakes however were very good and plentifully such a shame other two elements and service was a let down we felt it wasn't worth almost £50 for four (extra chips ordered to bulk up savoury side )

User

Went for lunch with a friend this week. We both had the ‘Barnes Wallace’ (bubble & squeak, black pudding, poached egg, hollandaise sauce) light bite. It was divine! The lattes were nice. The service was great. The only reason I haven’t given 5* was dessert was disappointing. The waitress listed available cakes and we both chose Victoria sponge after the waitress confirmed made with fresh cream and jam. When it came it was buttercream (yuck😖) and a scraping of jam. All in all a nice experience and would go back.

User

Lovely atmosphere. Great service. Enjoyed looking at all the old nik knacks. Rang last minute n enjoyed afternoon tea. Could do with more savoury stuff on afternoon tea as it felt like there was a lot of seeet things. But would defo recommend. Keep up the good work.
