We had a lazy Monday afternoon tea at The Grand Hotel with our 1 year old and it was wonderful!

We sat overlooking the sea and enjoyed a delicious and very generous selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes and there was more than enough for a rather ravenous little lad too!

The staff were very attentive without being overbearing and nothing was too big of an ask.

The Brasserie was very grand and perfectly fitting for such a lovely hotel.

We got married here on 1st July 2017.. the day was absolutely amazing! The staff are lovely and I couldn’t have had a better day!

We have stayed at the hotel 3 times since our wedding as we love it so much! Recently staying on Saturday 30th June for our anniversary!

Would one million percent recommend for your wedding or even just a nights break!

We arrived early to attend a wedding with check in not until 3pm. The hotel staff very kindly prepared our room for 11am enabling my wife and I to change and freshen up before attending the wedding. The service throughout our stay was excellent. The facilities and location were everything we wanted.

Was treated to an early Mother’s Day afternoon tea today it was lovely , we were sat right in front of the window, it couldn’t have been any better, the staff were lovely too, thankyou �

Stunning location, food is lovely, nice and relaxed a great place to unwind for a few hours for a bite to eat or an overnight relax!!

Stayed just 1 night. But we had a fabulous time. We took our mam for her 89th birthday to celebrate. Our room was amazing. Sea view plenty room for the 3 of us. Separate lounge area. Huge wardrobe space. We were impressed. Fabulous meal in the restaurant. Thank you to Joe for looking after us so very well. Breakfast was perfect. Freshly cooked and helpful staff. Overall a brilliant time was had by all. Very highly recommended

My family and I had a lovely afternoon tea in the Brasserie. I’m vegan, so called ahead to ensure they could accommodate me, and they certainly did! I had a delicious stand of vegan sandwiches, scones, and cakes, and both the chefs and the wait staff were incredibly helpful. Mine was delicious, and the rest of my party also said the same about theirs! We’ll definitely be back, for both another afternoon tea and for normal dining, and we will be recommending this place to everyone! Thanks, Grand Hotel!

My daughter got married there on Sunday 27th May 18, and what a fab hotel for a wedding. From first booking it the staff have been amazing. Very professional, helpful and quality service. Paid a lot of attention to fine detail. Food was delicious served nice hot presentation was fab. Highly recommend the Grand hotel great location, views are fab. Bedrooms are very clean well presented and very comfortable. Highly recommend to any future brides

I had afternoon tea with my daughter. The food was lovely and so much of it. I ended up taking the cakes home (bar 1 which I ate). The service and the staff were excellent. I cannot fault anything at all. It was also very reasonably priced. I would certainly go back and would certainly recommend it. �����

I got married at the grand 8 years ago and it wss perfect. Great place and great staff. Stayed 4/5 times since and always fab. Today celebrated my dads 70th there, with fabulous food and service once again. �

Could not fault anything from arriving to leaving great room pure luxury and excellent staff from reception to breakfast.

Afternoon tea was amazing

The staff were very friendly and accommodating as it was my Daughters Hen Do and we had balloons and a banner x

A massive thank you to all the staff who helped to make Eric and Margaret’s 50th wedding anniversary party a brilliant night. The help we received from Helen was professional and friendly. A good night was had by all the family and friends who had travelled from all over the country to help them celebrate this special milestone. Some of the guests stayed in the hotel and all commented how wonderful the rooms and views were.

Went for afternoon tea, friendly service, excellent views. We were impressed to be offered a choice of sandwiches rather then just a set menu. Also a good selection of cakes - 6 rather than 4 - although the pastry on the mince pies was a bit heavy, not up to my own standard. We also had a refill on the tea and a nice relaxed chat in very pleasant surroundings.

My husband myself and other family members stayed over the weekend for a family wedding What a wonderful venue the function rooms beautiful,the staircase magnificent,the staff very friendly ,the food and drink very good quality. I have read a previous review re the breakfast being small NOT AT ALL the breakfast was lovely plenty of choice enough for all fresh fruit,cereal,pastries , and full English or other choices the head waiter was very kind and efficient we asked for table for 6 and he kindly relaid table for us

The only down side we were in room 224 must have been a standard double which was very small and not really workable the dressing table had a socket but no mirror and the mirror was on opposite wall with no socket nearby or table. We paid £210 for that room and my daughter who had a family room paid £ 240 that was a lovely room which was massive and had a modern bathroom so I was perplexed about the pricing ? However great venue and location wish we could have stayed another night to ecplore the area
