Well today i had a Sunday carvery here, reasonably priced at £7.50. The meat was melt in the mouth, veg beautifully cooked and one of the best gravies I've tasted. My only complaint is....... there are seven more days until next Sunday!! We'll definitely be going there in between aswell to sample other things aswell. Thanks again, lovely ��

We have been twice for a meal and it's delicious . staff are friendly and portions are generous. We are going to try the breakfast at some point and also try the Sunday lunch. Drinks are cheap as well which is also a bonus. I would 100% recommend a visit you won't be disappointed �

Never had a bad meal in there and all very fairly priced was in last night for the curry night all very tasty be better when they get back to the handcut chips but that was through them being let down by a staff member and Atleast one of the curry's should be spicy for those who like that. Early days with the new landlords table though and I'm sure to be in again for some more

My husband and I had a lovely meal here tonight . The food is all home cooked and is excellent . It was all piping hot and you get loads on your plate. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone . We will be back .. thank you �

Me and my sister went yesterday for sunday lunch. I rate it 5star the food was delicious and you got loads far better than the toby carver where you hardly get any meat at all. We will definitely be going back.The staff couldn't do enough for you very friendly indeed.

I stayed overnight while I was working in Darlington a couple of days. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and friendly - especially Andy. The bar is large and they pull a good pint. The food was great and reasonably priced. They stop food service at 7.30pm. There is a bus stop across the road into town every 10 mins and returns to stop outside (No 10 bus @ £1.60). I will be back!

Had Sunday lunch here a few times now and couldn’t fault the food or service at all. Couldn’t get anymore on my plate....Definitely be returning again

Had 2 meals delivered and it was beautiful, hot i would highly recommend this food. Staff are so friendly and helpful.

Food is beautiful here cooked fresh and the chips are homemade certainly be eating here more

Came in today with the family and the food was amazing, prices were good and customer service was brill! Might try and make it a weekly thing! Credit to the chef!

Came for food the other day with my mam. Have to say I was very surprised. I had the home made steak pie special with mash and it was unbelievable, my mam had the chicken with mushroom and peppercorn sauce which she said was one of the best she has had.



In terms of quality and also price I can put it up there with both The Quays and The Copper Beech.

Called in yesterday to order meals for later in the day. Food was piping hot when delivered, very tasty and really enjoyed it. Would definitely order again. Thanks to the Grey Horse.

A massive thankyou and a well deserved pat on the back for giving the elderly roast dinners free of charge during this bad weather we have had , my father & mother in law were over the moon to recieve theres yesterday, and very happy and surprised when you delivered them one today as well , thank you so much

Yeah it was a decent place to goto, n now they do breakfasts also, just waiting to hear from them about of they do vegetarian breakfasts, not heard from them n it's been a while now... so that's why I'm giving it a 3. Would have been higher

So went for some food and Potato was solid, sausage was burnt to a crisp but the chef broke it in half and said " look the inside is okay" disgusting!!!! Bacon was full of fat hardly cooked at all, eggs wasn't cooked at all loads of water inside the egg and the yoke was jelly salmonella at its best!!! SHe did the beans spot on to at least he give something an effort on cooking �
