Guitar Lessons With Julie

Flamenco being the theme of the week, here's a piece I learned as a child and it's stuck in my brain ever since. My students love learning this one as it's actually very simple but effective. Excuse the dodgy video quality! 😂

This week we've all been getting back into the swing of guitar lessons after a summer break. I'm so proud of all of my students who've clearly been practicing hard over the holidays! 💗

Happy new year!!! It was only in October that I decided I would like to set up Guitar Lessons with Julie and I just want to thank all of my students for making it so very enjoyable. I can't wait to see what 2017 has in store for us! Thank you Carol, Naomi, James, Kingsley, Jonah, Chris and Noah. 💗

Brilliant lesson this morning with Naomi, she's really beginning to develop the chord changes and is producing a lovely sound! Not bad for lesson three!

For anyone who struggles with tuning their guitar I would highly recommend this free app Guitar Tuna. It has a free metronome too which is essential for beginners keeping time. 💗

Wow Carol, it's so obvious you've practiced since last lesson! Absolutely brilliant session tonight with a bit of Elvis and Hound Dog! 💗💗

After a snapped string at the start Chris's lesson went swimmingly! Four new chords, two strumming patterns some single string exercises all in thirty minutes!

Katie you are an absolute natural! Three chords and a whole new song learned perfectly in your first ever guitar lesson! 💗💗

Another great lesson this morning. Naomi is a complete beginner and has left this morning having produced a beautiful sound on the guitar moving between four basic chords. HAPPY WEEKEND everyone! 💗

Well, James's first lesson was a huge success this evening. He took to it like a fish to water learning three chords and managed to play them in a song! Not bad for 8 years old! 😊

It's not just me who is excited about tonight's new purchase. He finally has a guitar for his size! 💗🎼

Excited for my first student on Wednesday night. Just been prepping some resources and planning plenty of games to make sure James enjoys his first ever guitar lesson. 🎼
