We went for an early mothers day meal due to work commitments
We were waited on by Martin who looked after us very well even though they were busy
I had the Pate as a starter and the Rump steak cooked medium rare and it was cooked to perfection
Everybody else throughly enjoyed their food
It was a great night

We visited last night and the food was beautiful. The staff were all excellent.
Top tip - if you go, please leave room for dessert and have the Nutella and Mascarpone Calzone! �

Service was fantastic. Gin was fantastic and food was to die for!! I had the smoked haddock risotto and my friend had the tuna steak, 2 dishes that neither of us would normally go for but they were absolutely delicious. Lovely atmosphere too.
Me and my partner visited gusto celebrating our 3 Year anniversary. The place has a great atmosphere. The food was exceptional with recommendations given by the staff, who were all lovely checking everything was OK throughout the meal. The price of the food is decent for the quality you get in each dish. I have to say I was very impressed to how accommodating they were with my nut allergy, they had an allergen file (hand delivered by the manager which was a nice touch) which I actually prefer as it gives you a bit more piece of mind. We even had a drink at the bar after the meal and the bar tender was open to suggestions of drinks you may have fancied. All in all it was exceptional service from every person in that restaurant and the best dining experience I've had in a long time. Keep up the good work gusto!
Lovely meal. I had hummus (first time I’ve been given crudités and flat bread!!) fab and then a duck pasta dish which was gorgeous!! Also special shout to lovely waiter (sorry should of got your name) who lent me his charger for my phone which was so nice of you as I had no charge and was off to see Ed Sheeran 🎵amazing service lovely view in window onto the quayside very special as it was a birthday treat 🍾🥂
It happens only around 3 or 4 times a year.When you dine out several times each week but actually leave a restaurant with a massive smile on your face having had a great evening .Such was our experience at Gusto last night.Fabulous stylish decor buzzy Quayside atmosphere great food and fantastic service and knowledgable advice on our wine choice from the lovely Monica.

I was there with my daughter, her husband and 2 daughters and the staff were really lovely - polite and helpful (Brad was our waiter). We had the Sunday 3 course menu which was really great. The sea bass was popular with us and we had 2 fillets each! The starters and desserts were also lovely. We were visitors to Newcastle but would highly recommend this restaurant. Really good value nicely served.
I was lucky enough to win the Mother’s Day competition (3 course meal for 4people). We’ve just arrived home after a lovely afternoon, fabulous food, very nice prosecco, & great service (Vittorio)
I cannot thank This restaurant enough for the excellent service celebrating my Niece’s 21st Birthday. They couldn’t do enough for us!! Thanks to Kiri the restaurant manager for being so accommodating with all the changes etc.... and the food was amazing, out waiting staff were brilliant! We’d recommend Gusto Newcastle to everyone!! �����
Had a wonderful meal last night, wonderful staff especially Monica who looked after us and made us feel so welcome. Seen Rob Lambretti (George Michael) tribute who was outstanding too. Beautiful restaurant, usually go to Marco Pierre Whites and Botanist but definitely be back here.
Had a great birthday meal trout in salt was to die for starters,wine ,dessert all good staff lovely and friendly can't wait to go again
Came with my wife for our 16th anniversary. We used to eat here before the engagement, the wedding, the kids etc etc!!!! 😆 Used to be EST EST EST back then. Gusto is superb. The food (all 3 courses) was delicious including the Nutella calzone!!😋😋. 10 out of 10 making our anniversary very memorable.....and we only had a skip and a hop back to the Malmaison!!!👍
Came for lunch today with my boyfriend. Staff was phenomenal, really fast service, food tasted great. Have not one fault at all, would recommend to anyone. Thank you for such a nice experience.
Absolutely love this place! Service and food spot on! Big up to Monica who was friendly funny and couldn’t do enough for us!! Sardinia people are the best!
Great friendly atmosphere, excellent food, staff are great. We celebrated my daughters 30th Birthday & our wedding Anniversary. Shane was our waiter he was fantastic very polite & nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back.
Although I was disappointed that the restaurant had not kept my booking due to not actually ringing me for the payment (not the other way round) for the special Rob Lamberti night last night...they were still able to accommodate us upstairs and the meal, service and atmosphere was excellent! Been for couple of meals now and I am really impressed and love the restaurant! Thanks for a great night!
We really enjoyed what we had, but with no markings on the menu it was a real chore for the vegans and even the veggies to figure out what was suitable, such a simple thing, also no labelling for gluten free either. Many places now have a vegan menu or clearly labelled vegan options, it took us a while to figure out what we could have. It is the only thing stopping me recommending it to my vegan friends. Feels like Gusto are lagging behind on this.
If you're vegetarian it's not a great menu, if you're vegetarian and need gluten free food it's an appalling menu. How the staff think it's acceptable to have salad and mashed potato is beyond me, that's not a dining experience! Despite chips being declared non gluten they are cooked in oil containing gluten

fairy lights are pretty but didn't appreciate the 10% service charge for 7 of us, paid it because it was My daughter's birthday and didn't want to spoil it.
