What a beautiful site! Clean, friendly and only a stone’s throw from a lovely little 3 hour circular walk taking in Hasrian’s Wall. Duck’s were so tame and very entertaining 😊

We've just got back from a great little weekend here! The place is smaller than most which is perfect for that quiet cozy feel and the community areas are spotlessly clean. Smack bang in the middle of walking country it's one of the most peaceful places I've stayed at and the staff are so friendly and lovely! Would highly recommend!

We have tried a few campsites around Hadrian's wall but this is by far the best, friendly staff, great facilities and a short walk to the wall. We'll be back soon :)

We have just returned from a few days camping at this lovely site. Jackie and Andy, the wardens, are the friendliest of people who go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay, their breakfasts are also amazing. The facilities are second to none and always spotlessly clean..can't recommend this site enough

Used this campsite as my main base while completing Hadrian's Wall trial. Friendly owners always happy to advise and supply fresh eggs. Quiet tranquil location with a pub just a short walk away that serves great food to help rebuild after a long hard slog along the wall. Fantastic sunsets followed by dark nights for a spot of star gazing. Couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind and relax each evening.

User

This is a fairly small campsite, and quite hilly, but the facilities are in good order and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful and can suggest places to visit and good eating places. An excellent campsite to visit Hadrian's Wall.

Loved it! Friendly staff willing to go the extra mile for us. good pricing. Only minor complaint was walls were a bit thin in the cabin so we could hear the hand dryer in the bathroom. other than that is was fantastic. cabin was clean and had nice bathrooms and showers. Located in a beautiful area with a close walk to hadrians wall and hiking routes. Highly recommended and will probably be returning in the summer time. thank you.

Just stayed here for two weeks while volunteering at Vindolanda. Lovely site, excellent wardens, very peaceful, spotless showers, useful little shop. Sites spread out with banks of guilder rose and gorse in between so it never feels crowded.

User

Just spent the best part of a fortnight here whilst digging at Vindolanda nearby, and I have to say I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Jackie and Andy were both very friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The facilities were perfect and the bunk barn was the best place I could have stayed as it offered that little bit of luxury after a long day out in the elements. The location was perfect, with the Wall only half a mile away and the AD122 stops at the end of the road, meaning you can explore the area fairly easily if you don't have a car. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for somewhere that's fairly central along Hadrians Wall.

Fantastic small campsite, family friendly and dog friendly too...very warm welcome, and shown around site and to our pitches on arrival. Toilet/shower area was always clean, showers were good and lovely and warm. Wash-up area always spotless, and plenty of hot water available.

Small site but seemed to have lots of space, and in quiet and peaceful location. Woken each morning by ducks outside the tents- just perfect! No kids play area etc but that suited us fine. Owners very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Small shop at reception, and pizzas and breakfasts available at certain times.

We loved our weekend so much we are returning again next weekend. Highly recommended site!

Don't think we could have picked a better site. Coming up from the midlands on a charity walk of the wall and this being our midway-ish point comfort was pretty much essential. The showers were perfect and the pitch we had had a shelter nearby and we were surrounded by tree. Almost our own little alcove. Cant thank the guys here enough absolute legends.

User

Beautiful place, really quiet away from all the hustle and bustle. The management are lovely people , highly recommended

User

Absolutely loved this place, we'd barely pulled the car up before being greeted by Andy & Jackie (wardens) who were genuinely lovely people. Great facilities Inc shop, showers and laundry room etc. Well maintained and spotless, cooked breakfast available and even pizza delivered to your pitch. It was very homely and I have no doubt we'll return. Loved the little offset pitch we had, it was our own little haven. P.S thanks for the tarp Andy and we were privileged to meet your four legged baby too :-) x
