What an amazing venue , made special

With the time Mark and his staff put in for us. My son and daughter in law had their

Wedding there and it was stunning. It was as if

We were made at home, we booked out all the rooms so it felt so homely. Food is gorgeous, the staff go all out to make sure everything is covered. I would highly recommend as our day

Was as amazing as we hoped it would

Be , thanx again Mark and staff.

User

We went there for evening meal we were made very welcome . When we went into the dining room we were greeted with smiles and showed to our table when our good arrived it looked and tasted wonderful every course was a delight and finished with coffee and mints the whole experience was lovely will go again

User

We got married there it was a fantastic day .from start to finish alan could not do enough for use every thing went perfect .well recommended .

User

We came here on a cut price low season deal and are delighted. A welcome glass of fizzy followed by a beautiful two course dinner, an overnight stay and full breakfast. The room was lovely with tea and coffee making facilities shower over bath and a small dressing room. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. Altogether a luxury stay for much less than you can get a night in a motel locally.

User

Visited yesterday (Saturday 18th) for my birthday. We were greeted by friendly staff an open fire and a Christmas tree. Afternoon tea was perfect, as was our bedroom. We spent the afternoon in front of an open fire in the lounge and ate from the lounge menu. Can’t recommend Hardwicke Hall Manor enough, only one small point is as we were in the lounge most of the afternoon / evening more than one cd on repeat would have been nice, however, that didn’t take anything away from our visit. Thank you to all the staff.

User

My daughter and I visited for afternoon tea. Staff were friendly and extremely attentive. As I am allergic to dairy and nuts but still received a lovely afternoon tea which is very difficult with these requirements. Most impressed and will definitely visit again

User

Lovely rooms full of character. It is an old hall so there are plenty of little windy corridors, wood panelled dining rooms and bar and a real manor house feel to it.

The staff were very attentive and welcoming, the food was great and very reasonably priced, and plenty of drinks at a good price to choose from.

Highly recommended for anyone wanting a cosy getaway at a good price

User

Lovely place visited many times very friendly staff great service

User

Lovely hotel in lovely setting. Sat outside in the sunshine enjoying a drink served by a friendly young lady in the bar and then enjoyed a fabulous afternoon tea. Food was wonderful and service excellent... professional, efficient and friendly.

User

Fabulous afternoon tea. The food as very fresh and the staff very friendly and helpful - in particular Robert who served on our table - thank you!

User

Enjoyed a lovely 4 course meal tonight, the place is beautiful & the service & food were all faultless, i would definately recommend it & will be returning.

User

A friend bought me vouchers to use at Hardwick hall manor and hotel. Booked with no problems. Went last night to use them and from start to finish everything was beautiful. All 4 courses were gorgeous. The staff were very professional, smartly dressed and very well spoken. Each course was served in exact the right time spaces. Can't fault the place for anything. Would defo return again

User

We stayed last night. 25th November. Great stay, staff were very friendly and attentive, food was nice, it's very quiet in the bar area and restaurant, bedroom was nice but a bit attention is needed (wall lamps not fitted properly, no lock on bathroom door, hot water tap was a maniac spurting water out and drawer front was damaged) . Overall all if you want a relaxing night away , this is fabulous. £69 for two course meal a glass of wine each, bed and also breakfast was a great deal. . Would definitely return. . There are a lot of stairs up to your rooms, which could be a problem if you have mobility issues. .

User

We got married in the gorgeous surroundings of this wonderful Hotel on a very sunny day and the photos we were able to take were amazing. My husband and I spent a lot of hours trying to find a hotel that could cater to our unusually styled day as we wanted only a ceremony and reception. Mark was a massive help and made the day run smoothly and ensured all of the items ran on time to allow us our grand departure in our Camper. I stayed the night before in the hotel and had a wonderful relaxed evening. Our stay in the room above the front door allowed me to watch my husband to be arriving and greeting all our guests.

User

Can with a party of 10 for the Easter Afternoon tea party with my family. I was impressed from the arrival friendly staff on hand to direct us to the right place. The room as stunning the children thought it was magical. Pleasantly surprised by how many staff there was on hand to serve everything. The afternoon tea it's self was beautiful tasted amazing and fresh the children enjoyed there boxed picnic but think there should of been more cakes as my children would of eaten all the things the adults where offered! Maybe a thought for next time! Will be back. Great value to!

User

We go every Christmas for a big family meal and this year the price was the same but no welcome drinks, tiny starter portions and confused and at times rude staff. Very expensive for what we had. And our bill wasn’t even itemised! It was so disappointing that we will have to break tradition and book somewhere else next year. The cost cutting measures have cost you customers hardwicke!

User

Stayed here on 31st March as gift. It was fine could really do with a good spruce up and some tlc spent on it. We upgraded to 4 poster room. Was nice enough. Colours a little gawdy as bright red and gold. Bed comfy and room really spacious. Shower was rubbish. Not a powershower more of a trickle. We agree about music but to be fair we had rendition of Easter parade blasting out so music on loop in lounge was welcome when it changed. Food was ok. Bit miffed that we couldn't add to our choice from a la carte but no budging on that when we asked. Salmon fish cakes were very insipid and more of potato cake. Staff very nice and attentive. Loads of little lips on door threshes and stairs. I must of tripped a dozen times. Room was noisy from people upstairs who had a little one running around but to be fair that wasn't hotels fault. All in all ok for cheap nite away and good value but I wouldn't return .

User

Like others found the staff to be friendly, helpful and chatty mostly, however, there was one lady at the Carvery who was a little abrupt and not very helpful when we suggested putting two tables together to match our group and avoid the sun blinding us.

The room was clean and spacious, the bed was uncomfortable, we could feel the springs digging into us (room 7). The cold water tap was faulty, and the hot water barely got sufficient heated to bathe or shower.

Dinner was nice, it was well presented otherwise quite ordinary. The carvery was reasonably tasty but was best suited to those without teeth, it was soft foods, watery mashed potatoe, mashed Swede, with the rest of the veg all soft.

The general service from staff was good.

At Check out they tried to bill me twice for sandwiches otherwise it was quick and easy.

My two nights at the hotel was pleasant, I would say this hotel needs to up it's game at all meals to give it a bit of a wow factor, as the hotel offers no other leisure facility.

Would I recommend the hotel to others - No.

Are we likely to use this hotel again - No.

User

Arrived for carvery which had been a gift from my family, to be told " there was no carvery on as they had a large party in but we could have a choice off the menu and it was a bit like carvery but they brought it to you!" We picked Stewed Steak and dumplings which came with 2 roasties and a side plate of mash, carrots, parsnip and broccoli (bit too hard for my liking) and a jug of gravy, but this came after a 45 minute wait, it tasted nice but after waiting so long I don't personally think I would hurry back.
