Dan Smith comes to Hartlepool!
It’s back! Crossing the Tees, the Book Festival for the Tees Valley, returns with a jam-packed programme of authors, events and workshops. As part of the festival Community Hub South was delighted to welcome local schools St Teresa's, Fens, Grange, Eskdale and Rossmere Primary Schools to an event with award winning author Dan Smith who transported his audience on a startlingly original, emotional and compelling adventure set in the Dark Ages.

Community Hub South celebrating Bookstart Week.

Today we celebrated Bookstart Day at Community Hub Central with St Cuthberts Nursery. The theme this year was 'Pyjamarama' children came dressed in their pyjamas, listened to stories, made crafts, borrowed books using the self service machines, received their Bookstart Treasure Packs and enjoyed a special visit from Cleveland Fire Service.
