It is with great sadness to announce the loss of Alan Williamson on the 9th May 2019. Alan first visited the club in 1945, when he was just 11 years old and had continued to be a loyal member to Hartlepool Cricket Club until his sad passing.
Alan's funeral will be held on Thursday the 30th of May at 2pm at Stranton Crematorium followed by a wake at Hartlepool Cricket Club. He will be greatly missed by us all.

Football V Rugby Please be aware that, on Sunday 10th February the football and the rugby clash and the small lounge is all that’s available for the screenings. Taking all things into account it seems obvious that some people are going to be upset whatever decision I make. However, a decision has to be made. I have therefore decided that as the rugby is an international, from the first whistle to the last, it will appear on the large TV. The football will be shown on the large TV and the small TV during the time the rugby is not being screened and on the small TV when the rugby is on. If you object to this, please notify the committee in writing and they will review it. In the absence of such an approach the events will be televised as stated. Cheers, Jeff

Please Help the Junior Section Support the Hartlepool Food Bank : 🏏🎅🏻
Dear all,
... In the run-up to Christmas the Junior Section is seeking to help the Hartlepool Food Bank (The Trussell Trust) by collecting donations which will be passed to the Food Bank for onward passage to those families who access this important community service. Hopefully, you’ll be able to help!
To support this venture arrangements have been made for a “Food Bank Drop-Off Station” to be set-up in the entrance to the lobby in the Clubhouse on the following dates and times, :-
- Friday, 7th December, 2018 : 5.00pm to 6.30pm. This is the date of the Kids’ Christmas Party; and
- Saturday, 15th December, 2018 : 6.45pm to 8.00pm. This is the date of the Adults’ Christmas Party.
David Thompson will be at the Cricket Club at the stated dates and times. Any other volunteers to assist would be welcomed!
If you’re attending any of these events it would be fantastic if you could please bring some donations for this fundraising activity.
Non-perishable goods are requested, such as : tinned vegetables, meat and fruit; long life milk; pasta; rice; tomato sauces; biscuits; gravy granules; tea and coffee; and perhaps a little something special for Christmas.
It would also be great if we could collect toiletries too, such as toothpaste, shampoo and mouthwash. Sanitary products for ladies would also be welcomed.
Any queries on what to donate, then please see www.trusselltrust.org for ideas and suggestions.
If you’re not attending any of the above events on the 7th, or 15th December, 2018, then why not make a special trip to the Cricket Club to make a donation?
Many thanks for helping the Junior Section support the Hartlepool Food Bank. I know that some of the Minis have actually visited the Food Bank as part of their learning activities with the Beavers.
Finally, the Junior Section hopes you have a merry Christmas and that you are looking forward to 2019 and the return of cricket at Park Drive!

I am really sorry to announce that, the New Years Eve tickets went on sale to members only (at a maximum of four tickets per member) at noon today - 1st December, and they were sold out in two hours. All purchases were made by a total of 30 members with the exception of seven tickets which were taken by the band.
Once again, sorry if you were unable to get tickets due to the popularity of the event, but I have been as fair as I can be.
... Cheers, Jeff

Santa, who was covering the kids 'do' on Friday 7th December has been called up by MI5 to do a bit of important work in Europe. I know its a big ask, but does anyone know someone who could stand in for him. Uniform provided and a couple of free anaesthetics to numb the pain. Crisis over, they've opened a new box and we got one. Thanks to everyone willing to help.
