Good luck to the Glory Days crew, heading down to Scarborough today around 11am for the Annual 'Vernon Dawson' race from SYC to WYC on Saturday, fingers crossed they win the cup, however it will be a difficult race this year with very light winds. 'Glory Days' races with a mixed crew of Marina staff, berth holders, friends and guests. This year we are sailing with 9 crew. Next NECRA race is the Hartlepool Tyne Classic on the 24th of August. Lovely conditions for tonight's club racing, shame about the lack of wind.

User

Lovely ex-lifeboat circumnavigating the UK to raise support for the RNLI, will be on F walkway for the next 3 days, in good company with current Trent and Servern class reserve boats

User

Fancy learning to SUP at the marina? Why not get in touch with the On Water Team?

User

Good luck from the marina team to the owners and staff of a new bar that opened at Hartlepool Marina tonight

User

Abbeys terrace opening tomorrow at 12 giving South side Marina berth holders their own special decked area for drinks snacks and coffee, please pop across to say hello if your at the boat this weekend and help support their launch, please note they are not linked to the short sighted car park owners at all and also suffer with the charges like many of the South side berth holders.

The RNLI will be outside the Lock Office on Saturday 28th, providing lifejackets checks and advice

When the sun is shining, you feel like you're abroad! Perfect place to chill with a glass of wine from the many bars and restaurants available.

User

We usually walk along the sea front to the marina. The marina is full of nice cafes and restaurants. We always use Port bar and cafe the staff are very friendly and soon get to know you.

User

We had a lovely walk around the marina in the sunshine, must have done a couple of miles. We finished off with lovely coffee in the Rapport Coffee House, well recommended.

User

Very interesting and friendly, helpful staff. Shame we can't have our planned evening meal on Trincomalee, the whole reason for our visit

User

Stayed at the premier Inn clean rooms and bar and restaurants food was excellent . Being able to sit outside the pub and watch the sunset over the marina was really relaxing to watch will go back next spring/summer

User

Spent a full day. Plenty to do and see. Don't rush round. Savour the atmosphere of the ship and the marina. Not for the very young.

User

One of our favourite places to go for a few hours relaxation, just 20 mins from where we live! Invariably we end up at Cafe Rappor Bar at Navigation Point, for a light lunch.

We are not heavy lunch people & so find their coffee & fruit scones (warmed if you so prefer) just the ticket for us. Prices are very reasonable too.

And overall the Marina emits a kind of pleasurable feeling, whether just walking round it admiring the different boats, or sitting down & relaxing just admiring the atmosphere.

Yes I'm sure we will continue to visit this wonderful attraction that is Hartlepool Marina for years to come.

My husband and I often pop down to wander about looking at the boats. When the sun shines it's a lovely place to sit, chill and watch the world go by with a coffee or cold glass of wine. Plenty of bars to choose from and good selection of restaurants.

User

Me and my friend Kevin Marples Went for a fishint trip on boat called "new life" great team. Briliant skipper and nice dinner has been sever on board. Eould highly recomend this boat to other fisherman and people who would like to have a go in sea fishing.

User

Lovely place especially when the sun's out. Plenty of drinking and eating places. Watch life go by including lush boats and all the fishermen back with their catches. Friendly people as well and lush cocktails.

User

Last time I stayed on my dads boat was about 18yrs ago, some of my best memories when seeing my dad. Brought my children here reliving memories and I can't believe what an up and coming place it had become

User

I was only passing time as my son moved into his new apartment and I stumbled upon the Marina by accident, as you do! I was well impressed as I've heard comments that Hartlepool isn't necessarily the place to be. I would have to disagree. The Marina was certainly impressive. I live in Lancaster which is equally impressive.

User

User

This place is a lovely place to go to eat or just to chill out. The only problem is there are no public toilets, so you have to eat or drink in one of the many restaurants that's there. Great choice of food though! It's a shame people have been here and not picked up after their dogs , so we cleaned it up for them!

User

Sun was shining though still chilly but looking onto the marina and boats made up for the cold, then a nice stroll around to finish off.
