We can all enjoy this lovely weather but please leave your fury loved ones at home where they can stay cool. It only takes minutes for a pet to over heat. Sadly our vet sees too many of these cases each year. Not only through pets being left in cars but also people enjoying a 'nice sunny walk' Unfortunately things go from bad too worse all too quickly #bettertobesafethansorry

It's International Business Women's Day so I thought that I would celebrate that I have my own business.
The DIY/Hardware trade is a very male dominated industry and there are not many women with their own shops.
Hartley Supplies diy & Locksmiths was born in 2007 after the local Hartley mart closed down due to retirement. ... So many local residents were affected by the closure, I decided to quit my job in the banking industry and open a new diy store for the local community. I tracked down Alan and Sheree (Hartley Mart) They kindly taught me how to cut Keys 🔑 and gave me a list of local suppliers to help me on my way. My family have been in the building trade since 1953 (E Thomas & Son builders) and my dad and grandad unknowingly taught me diy etc from a very young age. As well as owning my own properties from the age of 18. My business is now 12 years old this year and I have also been a trained locksmith for 4 years. I am so grateful for my local community’s support since opening in 2007. You can do anything you want to in life if you work hard enough. Never let anyone tell you otherwise. Happy international women’s day 😘
