Dementia Friendly Easington. Would you like to live in a village where people with Dementia are understood, respected and supported? This is how we would like Easington to be. To do this we are launching Dementia Friendly Easington beginning 9 July with a range of opportunities and activities across the week. You can never have too much cake. Thanks to everyone who attended and / or donated to our Alzheimer's cupcake event, even coming out in the rain.

Healthworks is not closing. There is a consultation around changes to IntraHealth and the closure of their site based here. This will not affect HEALTHWORKS community building. However there are open consultation events around the proposal so if you have used Healthworks GP's please attend ( we have information here on reception). Thanks

Eatwise with Coeliac Disease.
We are looking at starting a new group at Healthworks, have you got Coeliac Disease, do you need some help, could you share your expereinces then this maybe for you.

Alzheimers cupcake event. Come along to Healthworks on Wednesday 12 June for coffee and cake to raise money and awareness of Dementia.

Friends r us are our new social group who meet here at Healthworks every other Monday (17th June). This group is open to all, make new friends, get out of the house and have some me time in a comfortable environment. Tea and coffee and maybe a biscuit.
We all need friends so come along to the group and make soem new ones.

Peterlee Urgent Care Centre - there is a local consultation taking place regarding how this may look in the future. North of England Commissioners will be here at Healthworks so pop along

Get crafty at Healthworks on Thursday 30th May, 9am - 12pm or on Friday 31st May, 12:30pm - 3:30pm. Join us for some fun and free arts activities for the whole family!

Our Gym turns into a Polling Station on Thursday 23rd May, 6am - 10pm.

Durham Deafened Support are offering Free yoga for beginners at Eastlea Community Centre Seaham, for those with a hearing loss.

Do you want to know what is going on in your local area, perhaps you need advice, you want to meet others and are looking for a group or even just have the information to signpost. Then come along to the April Advice Day at Easington Welfare. Following this event there is a family Easter party.
