Work on the M6 Link Road has now commenced!

The new road will connect the Heysham and Morecambe peninsula to Junction 34 of the M6 and will comprise of a 4. 8km dual carriageway with a footpath and cycleway along the whole route. The link road is expected to be open to the public Summer 2016, although smaller sections will be open sooner.

The project will also involve a fully remodelled junction 34 with new slip roads, a new bridge over the River Lune and a 600 space park and ride site. Work on the new link road has now started and Intec (UK) Ltd are proud to have been awarded the recruitment contract for the project.
