Went for my birthday weekend and loved it, great, helpful staff, my only complaint was £15 for a pint of orange juice on room service, £6 for tray charge 😳 £9 for the drink, need to mind bring my own next time 🙈

Staff really helpful. Room was gorgeous with a great view and the breakfast buffet was delicious with so much choice!!

Myself and hubby stayed here last night (new years eve) and we had such a lovely night. Room was huge!! Views were fantastic and we watched the fireworks at midnight from our room...perfect!!! Staff friendly and breakfast was lovely. ...lots of choice!! Highly recommend!!

Me & my parter had a beautiful stay last night, the room was lovely and the view was just fab. All the staff were very friendly and very eager to help. The restaurant staff were excellent, and the food was perfect.

Loved our stay at The Hilton and great room with view of Tyne Bridge! Evening meal and breakfast were beautiful! Sticky toffee pud to die for! Staff were very helpful!

I won the valentines competition for me and husband to have a meal which was lovely. All staff were friendly and nothing was a problem. The room where we stayed was very spacious, clean and the review from our window was beautiful. We will definitely be back, thank you all for a lovely stay.

Fantastic experience last night at the Hilton Gateshead. It was my partner's birthday which I rang and told the hotel in advance. They gave us a stunning room overlooking the Tyne Bridge, prosecco on arrival, a birthday cake in the room then complimentary car parking. We stayed in lots of hotels but never experienced such fantastic customer service. Breakfast was beautiful and well worth it. A brilliant first time Hilton. Can't wait to return in October x

Been to the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead with a group of friends for the “bottomless brunch”. We all agreed the food was fantastic & the drinks truly were bottomless!! Service was more than excellent & our glasses were continually topped up. Can’t recommend this enough especially if you are looking for something a bit different to the usual afternoon tea !!

We stayed at hotel as myself and my husband were at a party bed was very comfortable but the bedroom was a bit dated could do with a fresh coat of paint breakfast was great lots of choices and the staff were really friendly would stay again and recommend to family and friends

Stayed here overnight this weekend we had a lovely stunning view from the balcony. The room its self was standard but had everything we needed so no complaints .The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The parking charge was abit much though

Stayed here over the weekend. We had room with a view that was over looking the bridge. And it was stunning to say we were in Newcastle. Bad points were hotel didn’t meet the prices. Spending £150 then paying £12 for over night parking. Bed was like laying on a brick. Lamp didn’t work carpet full of dust. Paying £38 for breakfast in bed with £6 tray cost was ridiculous. And food was cold. Toast was like bread�. No wifi. Shame cause was nice hotel.

Stayed for Valentine special. Food superb, staff Kathy and Fran outstanding customer service, friendly and calm atmosphere around hotel. Room good size not as clean as it should be and in need of update. I would definitely stay again but choose a better spec room.

Lovely modern hotel with spacious rooms. Small pool and sauna are good. Views out over the Tyne bridge are stunning ask for a room with THAT view. Breakfast was first rate. Glass lobby with terrace overlooking the Tyne make it special. If you’ve stayed at the Hilton on the hill in Budapest you know exactly what this is like.

We booked our room well in advance but seemed to get allocated a disabled accessible room, with no bath. We weren’t advised of this at the time of check in.

No waste bin in the room.

Stains on the carpet floor.

No bottled water (only available to exclusive guests!).

Inadequate supplies, i.e. milk or shower gel (when we requested more shower gel we got bars of soap instead).

We paid £11 for room service which came without the tea we ordered.

WiFi charges.

Whilst we could have brought this all to the hotels attention we’d have been spending more time at reception than trying to enjoy our weekend break.

All in all, not a standard I would expect at a Hilton, considering I’ve stayed at a lot of them up and down the country.

Discussed all the above during Check Out but will expect just the standard ‘thank you for brining this to our attention, we’ve relayed your feedback to management’ reply.

Will be giving somewhere else a try next time.

I booked an excecutive room for a treat for my partner for valentines, we have stayed here before but just in a basic room, so I was so disappointed to find that I’d paid £160 for a room that was no different to other rooms!! Apart from the fabulous riverside view, the rest of the stay was dismal....great big stains on the carpet, the bed was like lying on a brick! It cost £17 for 2 drinks at the bar but as we had 2hrs longe access we thought we’d at least get a few free drinks. Again to be really disappointed as all they served is bottled larger and cheap house wine. Needless to say we didn’t take advantage of the “free drinks”

Continued to have a great night on the town but in future we’d book else where I’m afraid.

Poor experience .... we were told on booking a family room was two double beds .. arrived only to find one bed and a very small Unmade sofa bed .... moved rooms and had to spend a family night away in separate rooms ....filthy, musty and stained carpets . We complained and are still waiting 1 month later for a response ..... shock customer service and not what I would expect from a Hilton ...don’t bother emailing with complaints they ignore it anyway.. now escalated to head office

Horrible experience. £120 per night to share a bed with my friend and sofa bed for the other lady. Three ladys, one bed! We arrived after agreed check in time and rooms weren’t ready. Breakfast was horrible, worse than a cheap pub buffet. But the worst experience is that money was taken from the purses of two people in our party. The purses were left in the rooms when we had breakfast. The hotel have denied responsibility. I would advise anyone staying here to keep your valuables with you at all times. �

Considering the hotels name we were expecting more! The carpet had stains, we weren’t able to eat in the restaurant because there was a private function, even though there was no one going in until after 7. One dressing gown had a hole in, there was no one on reception when checking out, the balcony area was filthy. The only good things were the view and the lady in the executive lounge.

Awful experience from start to finish!

Arrived to the room to find they had put us in a disabled access room (not what we wanted or needed) told they would reserve £50 on our card in case we took from the mini bar which was absolutely fine except that the mini bar was completely empty!

No security on the door at night meant that we were woken by a party in the next room at 4am! Called reception to complain, took another half an hour for them to sort it!

Awoken again at 8am by the disabled alarms going off in the room every few minutes! Reported this to be told they are experiencing problems with the alarms and trying to fix it!

On check out the receptionist asked if we would be staying for breakfast, at this point we just wanted to get home and have some sleep!

Ruined our special night away for my husbands birthday!

Would not return to Hilton Newcastle ever again!
