A quick, pre-ride routine will keep your Harley ready to ride especially if it's been parked up over the Winter months. Special thanks to John Johnson & Greg Holmes who this morning shared their valuable experience on how to carry out a general inspection of the entire bike to be sure it's in safe riding condition along with what to do in the event of a key fob malfunction & operating the transport mode before finishing off the morning demonstrating how to pick up a dropped bike & giving a everyone a chance to have a go themselves. Many thanks to Gateshead Harley-Davidson & all that turned up

The weather is fine & dry for our first ‘New members’ ride. A great way for our fab road crew to introduce new members to all aspects of group riding.. 😎

In Safe Hands..... Another fabulous refresher First aid course for our Chapter’s Road Crew & a few members. We are quite fortunate to have a nurse, paramedic & fire fighter in our Chapter to be able to deliver such a valuable course covering all aspects of first aid including the use of a defibrillator which we carry on all of our rides. Thanks to Dawn, Greg & Pete for leading the course & Nissan Sports and Leisure Complex for their hospitality....

A big thank you to everyone who turned out today to support our LOH cake, coffee & chat day at Gateshead Harley-Davidson & thanks to all that donated & bought cakes to help us raise £161.01 for Prostate Cancer UK .... Thanks to Anna for your help whilst a few of us were in a meeting. 😊🍰🍪🍩🍮

Happy New Year Here's to a new year full of family, friends & safe riding!!

Spreading a bit of festive love this Christmas. Today we surprised a well loved former Chapter member who I'm sure a lot of you will recall was severely affected by a storm that hit her home in Reeth back in late July. After the initial shock of us appearing on her doorstep, made possible by a little help from her daughter, Denise told us of that awful day that started with her being away from home. Hearing that a months rainfall had fell within a few hours & that some of h...er beloved dogs & donkeys were at risk she meandered her way through flooded roads & diversions until she arrived home to find a good neighbour had moved the dogs to an upper level of her home. The donkeys had moved up hill in their paddock but all that Denise could see was 3 heads bobbing in the flood water, luckily all 3 were rescued & have fully recovered after their ordeal. More so than Denise's property of which all the ground floor was a few feet under water losing lots of her treasured possessions. Denise has been temporarily rehoused until all the renovation work is completed, hopefully by April. All our Chapter love was passed on & in return she sends her love & best wishes to us all & Ive promised that we will ride through her village sometime next year & stop by to say hello... #geordiechapterlove #thatswhatfriendsarefor
