Went here last nite with a couple of the girls as not many decent places left to drink in Shields town centre. Always very pleasant night in here. Last night was even better as it was their 2nd birthday - although didn't realise that before we went in. One of the staff came over to our table shortly after arriving and asked us what we would do for the free £40 gin tray he had in his possession. We were curious when he asked and said all we had to do was like their page on here and write a review - simple. So we agreed and received a very nice free gin tray or 5 different gins, complete with suitable tonics and accompaniments. Very nice it was too and totally unexpected. Made our night even better and we will be back soon. Thank u for asking us to help you celebrate your 2nd birthday, along with free gin tray, nibbles and party hats. Here's to the next 12 months xx
Was in last night and just a review for the lass that served me last night, don't know her name but she had dark purplish hair in a ponytail, the place was rammed but I didn't have to wait long to be served. She was quick and efficient and remained friendly and smiley even though it must have been stressful in their tonight. Great customer service!
Visit most Saturday nights with my best friends love the atmosphere the music always drank sloe gin then rhubarb and ginger but my favourite us def Palma violets gin x mm
Nisha was the best barmaid EVER pure love her and she’s mint.
Myself and 4 friends spent a few hours tasting the cocktails on Saturday night (7th April) rhubarb and ginger gin was at the top followed by palmer violet. Barman was fast and friendly and we sat outside at the back under the canopy with the heater (even no it was raining you wouldn't have thought it felt like we were on holiday �we all had a lush night and will definitely return xx

Love coming to hogarths, especially for the different range of Gins they do.. i dont think ive had 1 yet that i havent liked! � usually get 2 at the same time to save waiting in the que again � brill drinks and even better cheesier music � still need to try the gin tray, looks amazing!
I love this place. The doormen and staff are always very friendly, the drinks are cheap enough to get me in a good mood and I always love going here at the start of the night on a night out with the lasses. Will be back in next time we have a girls night out

First time I've been here, staff were very friendly and the people I spoke to were likewise. Drinks were not badly priced. The band playing there (the breakfast club) is one of the best 80's bands you will ever come across. Will definitely be back again
Best pub in the town service great and bar staff couldn’t be more helpful great place to drink management very friendly definitely recommend this place
Amazing atmosphere with amazing service from all the staff!! Not to mention the best tasting gin, cant beat turkish delight!! �
Absolutely love the great selection of amazing gins and the tray is just an amazing idea! Hoping to visit in May for my Birthday ❤️
Every time we come to this pub I feel like an outcast we always have to wait over ten minutes to be served they serve all the locals before others. Today we waited ten minutes to be served and it’s not busy the bar tender when challenged said we were not being ignored and other staff were changing barrels etc total bollocks when you not a local or regular and you observe as I am doing just now the regular people always get priority over the passers by customer
If you like to wait to be served this is the bar for you
Shocking service by the young dark haired girl tonight. Served every lad buying shots etc without them having to wait while myself and another lady waited and waited. Other lads kept coming and getting served while she continued to avoid eye contact. The other lady and her partner eventually left without getting served with myself shortly afterwards when yet again another young lad came and got served straight away. When I politely mentioned I had been waiting first her comment was to serve the lad first! Walked away at this point! Such a shame as the girl with the blonde hair served us when we got our first drink and she was lovely. There’s plenty of other bars in Shields so won’t bother returning here in a hurry!
Order 2 strawberry frozen cocktails last night waited 10mins for them to be made and then they tasted like water zero alcohol in them and no taste total waste of money.
